Growing Wellbeing Champions across South Wales.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming three fantastic local organisations to the Case-UK office, as our own Byron Hayward led a Wellbeing Champions workshop for teams from:

🔵WHITE ROSE FUNERALS & MEMORIALS LTD, Cardiff
🔵Advanced Furniture, Ebbw Vale
🔵Age Cymru Gwent, Blackwood

Wellbeing Champions are the friendly first point of contact for wellbeing in a workplace, and their power isn't in having all the answers. It's in noticing. Listening. And knowing where to guide someone next.

Together, the group explored what wellbeing really means and the 5 pillars that hold it up; how to recognise the early signs of poor mental health, those changes in mood, energy, thinking and behaviour that are so easy to miss; how to have that first supportive conversation, listening without judging or rushing to fix; and how to signpost, check in and follow up so no one is left to struggle alone.

The session closed with an important conversation about the organisation's own role in wellbeing, because a culture of care has to come from every level.

What made the day special was the honesty in the room — real, open conversations about stress, sleep, life's pressures, and why so many people (especially men) still find it hard to say "I'm not okay." That's exactly the culture these new Wellbeing Champions are going back to change.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. The openness, energy, and care you brought to the room are exactly what make a great Wellbeing Champion.

Would Wellbeing Champions make a difference in your organisation? Please reach out to Byron Hayward ([email protected]); he'll be happy to answer your questions.

We are sharing this important video about su***de, presented in British Sign Language, which has been kindly provided by the NHS Postvention Team.

This resource is designed to help make vital information and support more accessible for members of the Deaf community and those who may be affected by su***de or bereavement.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please remember that support is available. You do not have to face things alone.

Behind every family we support is a network of people working together to make a difference.

This short montage captures just some of the conversations, partnerships, and friendships from NFE.

Every person featured here contributes in their own way—whether through bereavement support, memorialisation, training, technology, charity work, advocacy, or professional leadership.

While families may never see all the people working behind the scenes, they benefit from the knowledge, care, and collaboration that these relationships create.

We're proud to work alongside so many passionate individuals and organisations who share our commitment to supporting people through life's most difficult moments.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we support families. ❤️

It was an honour to spend time with Gary, President of SAIF, at NFE and to hear his thoughts on the importance of collaboration across our profession.

We're incredibly grateful for the support that SAIF continues to show White Rose Events and our conference. Working together, we can create opportunities to share knowledge, raise standards, and strengthen the future of independent funeral directing.

Thank you, Gary, for taking the time to speak on camera and for your ongoing commitment to supporting both the profession and the families we serve every day.

Partnerships like these make a real difference, and we're excited about what lies ahead. ❤️
