Our Senior Support Workers came together for an inspiring Effective Shift Management training day as part of our Leadership and Management Development Programme.

Exploring crisis management, challenging shifts and leadership culture. The day reinforced that great leadership starts with each of us – taking responsibility, leading by example and inspiring others to make a positive difference.

A huge thank you to Managing Director, Haydn Osborne and Senior Managers, Ceri-Ann Welch and Karolina Merry for their valuable contribution.

This Mental Health Awareness Day, we’re recognising the importance of listening to the people we support and learning from their lived experiences.

Our Service Manager, Bryony, has been developing a new section of our staff induction, built around the real-life experiences of our Individuals. This important addition will help new members of our staff team better understand the impact of mental health, the importance of listening without judgement, and how our approach can make a real difference to the people we support.

By bringing lived experiences into our induction, we aim to turn listening into action, helping our team develop greater empathy, understanding and person-centred support.

This year’s theme, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” reflects exactly why this work matters.

We’re incredibly proud to see Cadoc featured by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) in their article, “How Cadoc House turns community partnerships into everyday practice,” as part of their Practice Worth Sharing initiative.

Cadoc has developed a sustained and structured approach to partnership working with external agencies, supporting the Individuals we work with to build meaningful connections and engage with their local communities.

A huge thank you to the team at Cadoc, our community partners including the team at Gofal Cymdeithasol Cymru / Social Care Wales who are featured in the article, the community care teams we work alongside, and the people across React who support this work.

We’re pleased to see this approach recognised and to have the opportunity to share our practice with others.

During a communal meeting at our Residential Service in Cardiff, Individuals shared their ideas that they wanted to create a woodlands-themed mural for the service. So, that’s exactly what we did!

Our Creative Engagement Coordinator, Emmanuella, facilitated the project, and worked with Individuals to get creative and make their mark on their home. A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and to those who showed their support.

We absolutely love the new addition to the service and hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do!

Last Friday, we came together to take part in Macmillan’s Coffee Morning and raise money for a worthy cause.

We held our very own Bake Off, with our Individuals and staff team getting involved by baking and creating some fantastic treats.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, your generosity and teamwork really made a difference.

We are so pleased to make a donation for everything made.
