📢 We are calling on Prime Minister Andy Burnham to protect the future of Healthwatch.

Healthwatch provides an independent voice for patients, social care users and under-represented communities, ensuring their experiences help shape local services. Over the past year, our five Healthwatch teams at People First Independent Advocacy have reached more than 30,000 people and helped drive meaningful improvements in health and care services.

As reforms to the NHS and social care continue, independent community voices must remain at the heart of decision-making.

Last week, the Healthwatch Cumberland team supported Tullie and Young Woman Up to run a creative R.I.S.E session as part of our Youth Mental Health project.🌟🎨

We chatted about overcoming challenges, made collages of what inspires us, and decorated cookies to represent our unique personalities.

Yesterday, the Healthwatch Cumberland team visited Carlisle Healthcare South at Locke Road for an Enter and View.🩺

The team spoke to patients about their experiences at the GP practice, and asked staff for their thoughts.
