Further to the recent awful disclosures about the “Legacy Funeral Home” in Hull, albeit a human facility, we would like to assure pet owners in our catchment area of the following.
Primarily, that we are founder members of the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries & Crematoria. Abiding by their Code of Practice (for details please see the APPCC website) and subject to inspections and scrutiny of compliance. However, be aware that just like the human funeral industry, not all pet service providers are Members of the APPCC and therefore are not prepared to be governed accordingly.
Through Membership we; a) Ensure respectful transportation & storage of deceased pets b) Individual cremations are carried out individually ie. only one pet in a chamber at a time (There are some designs of cremators where, for speed of turn around & economics, this is not the case) c) Chambers are swept out between cremations to avoid any mixing of ashes d) Containment of remains in casket/scatter tube is in a plastic bag labelled with pets name, point of origin and date of cremation, before being placed the selected vessel. d) The whole process has a documented audit trail
All we do here is totally transparent and we welcome owners wishing to verify this.
We are now in our 35th year of operation. Serving bereaved pet owners to the best of our ability on the basis of “assuming they are behind us watching every movement”.
