As part of the General Medical Services Contract in Wales, we are required to gather data on our practice activity to report to Welsh Government.

Below is a summary of the information we need to supply together with an explanation. However this is only a snapshot of the work that is covered by the team here at Coach & Horses Surgery.

‼️ Electronic prescribing ‼️

The surgery will be going live with this system next Tuesday 28th July. This allows the surgery to send prescriptions electronically to your nominated pharmacy.

Please bear with us whilst our staff adjust to this new system.

‼️STUDENTS‼️ Notice for all those starting Uni in September/higher education…. Currently this is not available at the Surgery.

Parent or carer of someone born between 01/09/2007 - 31/08/2008? Or are you under 25 but starting higher education or residential further education for the first time this autumn? ⬇️

From late July for a limited time the MenB vaccination will be available.

What to know:
✅ Two doses are essential for best protection
✅The second dose is given at least 28 days after the first
✅ Invite letters will be sent after 6 July for 17-18 year olds.
✅ Those born after 31/12/2001 (turning 25 after 31/12/2026) and starting higher education or residential further education for the first time from Autumn 2026, will not receive a letter but should contact their health board after 20 July.

Encourage your child to get protected before they start their next chapter 🛡️

⚠️ Please do not contact your health board before 20 July 2026 as further information will not yet be ready.

NHS Wales App Service Update

Following yesterday’s technical issue affecting a number of NHS Wales clinical systems, we understand that there are still issues when accessing NHS Wales App.

This may include :
🔹 GP appointments
🔹 Repeat prescription requests

Technical teams are continuing to work as a priority to restore services as quickly and safely as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while work is underway to resolve these issues.
