I went to the Nature Therapy Conference last weekend.

It was a fantastic experience, meeting with so many inspiring people with well-being in mind, and also visiting some amazing and interesting sessions.

Which included:
🧺 Making a basket from brambles and Ivy .tribe
πŸ”₯ Learning more about friction fire from
πŸ”¬ Science + experimental learning outdoors with
πŸ™ Faith in nature talk by Dave at

As well as so much more... including some amazing music, dance, talks, food and great company!

I was honoured to be included in a small part of talk on her PHD. I was showing people the digital tools with Caitlin, and was lovely to see talk about her experience of the team in her own words.

A sunny day for the Carmarthen Men's Circle yesterday at Cynefin Health Hub. β˜€οΈ

We practiced a few knots and spoke a little about natural cordage. It was great to see what everyone bought along and hearing some funny stores around the fire.

Days like these, with good company in nature, are my favorite and great for my own mental health, the guys have said the same. If it interests you get in touch. πŸ”₯

πŸ€” But what does it mean?
"Primal Forest" - "Woodland skills and well-being"

Here's my take:

🌲'Primal Forest' -
I believe there is something primal that speaks to all of us when we gather around a fire or spend time in nature. It connects us to each other and our past. I love to do this, especially in woodland enviroments, whittling, practicing/learning skills or just a cuppa and good company.

🌳'Woodland skills' -
To me, this means fun, peaceful walks, playing in the woods, spending time connecting to the natural world or just being present in it. Learning skills that not only benifit us, but done in a way that works alongside nature.

πŸ’š'Well-being' -
This can mean so many different things to so many. I like to think that a good community, spending time in nature and 'confidence through accomplishment' (to coin a phrase) is a good enviroment that allow this to grow.
