Well folks. I was out for a wee run on the old Bullet today, and I happened to be passing the Cairnbrae Natural Burial ground near Kellas. I would have to say, it’s a lovely wee spot. Originally developed by the lovely Alma Kettles, and now under the ownership of Sturrock, Comb and Davidson. The site is beautifully maintained and I would highly recommend it. I am not being paid for this promotion. I just love the place.

Well that was another wonderful weekend at the Glamis Transport Extravaganza again this year. Met lots of lovely people and caught up with loads of old friends. Most of all, it made people aware that such a service exists. Hoping everyone that attended had as good a time as we did!

Well folks. Today I had the honour of taking Owen Ross on his final journey aboard the trike hearse. We had a nice ride from Arbroath to his final resting place in Inverkeillor cemetery. Owen left us far too soon. Hopefully now he is finally at peace. Ride free young man. Great turnout of friends and family. Many thanks to the staff at George Stewart for their un-daunting professionalism and care.

Well folks. It’s been a busy week. Three funerals with the limousines, a wedding for the Claire and her wedding party and taking lovely Joyce for an 80th birthday hurl in my old Russian sidecar outfit. What a hoot. I like that outfit. Gives me awfy cramp in my right thigh. I must ride it more…

Well folks. On Thursday 12th of March, I had the honour of taking Howard Manzie on his final journey from George Stewart Funeral Directors, Arbroath out to Parkgrove Crematorium, accompanied by His wife Carol and close family and friends. It was a lovely, heartfelt send off for a man who lived life to the full. I had spoken to Howard a few times at various gatherings etc. He was a lovely chap. Rest in Peace Howard. Ride free. Here’s to a life well lived!

Well today was interesting. I was asked by a local funeral director if I had access to a bus for collecting mourners from Arbroath train station, out to Parkgrove, then back in for the funeral tea at Gayfield stadium in Arbroath. Thanks to my boss, who was able to accommodate, it all went very well. Thanks to Darren and the team at George Stewart, Arbroath. Sorry about the pics. Taken with timer on the phone…

Well folks. Today I had the honour of taking Mr Graeme Webster on his final journey from the care of Mark Shaw Funeral Services, Aberdeen, via the family home to Aberdeen Crematorium. Graeme was taken far too soon at only 52 years old. I had met Graeme a couple of times through the East Coast Cruisers. Rest in peace Graeme, ride free. Many thanks to Mr Shaw and the team, and to Graeme’s family for choosing The Alternative Carriage Company.
