Our friend Derek came to visit on Friday, and onced again brought lots of joy to everyone. We enjoyed chatting in-between the songs, reminiscing about our younger days. While joining in with familiar songs. With a few getting up for a wee dance.

If only we could bottle the amazing atmosphere from yesterday.
Jukebox Jenny came to lead our residents and staff in a fun and interactive afternoon. Of movement and uplifting music.
Jenny arrived with a box full of instruments for everyone. Each time the music changed so did the instrument. We sang our hearts out while shaking cymbals to clicking sticks together. Whichever way Jenny lead the exercise, our residents followed with enthusiasm.
We may have been exhausted by the end, but the smiles and joy on everyone's face was worth it's weight in gold.

What a beautiful way to finish our week of intergenerational activities. Max and Chloe, came on Monday and entertained our residents with some wonderful pieces of classical music. They played a variety of instruments including the trumpet. With both singing a duet of "panis angeligus"
Thank you to these two young people who wanted to give up their free time to come and entertain us. 🎶🎶🎶

Thankyou to this kind gentleman who knocked on our door yesterday, and donated these books for our residents. As you can see Barry and Raymond were delighted with this kind gift.
