My May reads!
Firstly Junot Diaz’s The brief wondrous life of Oscar Wao. It’s tragic, it’s funny, it’s an insight into the Dominican Republic history under Trujillo’s dictatorship, which is so frightening, I had to keep Wikipedia-ing to see if it was true and it all is!! Fantastically written and a bit of a mystery of who the narrator is, until almost the end. No wonder this was one of David Bowie’s favourite books.
Your Cosmic Purpose, I didn’t think I would like it but I LOVED it! Kirsty makes big topics easier to understand. I’m a great fan of Amorah Quan Yin, having read all her books but some of it I just could not take on board. With Kirsty’s book, I was like ‘Yes! Don’t overthink it, create time and space to think properly and allow what to come up to come up.’
The biggest take away from Your Cosmic Purpose is what happens in life is done for you, not done to you, your soul would never allow a situation to happen that you couldn’t deal with and try and remember to let this spiritual essence, this soul being live with us and through us, honour your soul, not just your ego mind. A delightful and easy read!!

Such a lovely day finding the 30 Henry Moore sculptures , Kew is such a fantastic setting for the sculptures and they do take some finding, which is fun!! Highly recommend!!! ( Pity National Rail was having a bad day and a journey that took me an hour and a half to get there took over 3 hours to get home!! Come on National Rail, in Japan they don’t tolerate any delays beyond 2 seconds!!!)

I can’t believe we only have 5 Yin and Gong workshops left this year!!!
The Summer workshops are so special as we usually get to open the garden doors and hear the birds responding to the gong, it is magical!!

The benefits of a sound bath are numerous but for me, the number one plus is how vibrational frequencies can switch the nervous system from fight or flight to rest and digest. I choose a Yin sequence to support this and if you are going to come to our June 12th evening, then be prepared to relax on another level!

75 mins of restorative Yin and Sound Bath followed by 45 minutes Gong meditation to help release and let go of the old emotional residual our bodies no longer need to carry around. No better way to start the weekend!

Lovely weekend in York to see my Godson! Breakfast at Betty’s, lunch in the Shambles food market and then a fabulously home cooked Hungarian dish for dinner, cooked by my godson. Of course a bit of shopping was included too!
