We know you may have questions about how the test works, so we’ve answered six of the questions we’re asked most often.
What if I’m bald?
That’s no problem. Any body hair can be used, so your sample does not need to come from your head.
Can I use dyed or chemically treated hair?
Yes. Dyed or chemically treated hair can still be submitted and will not affect the test.
What if I’ve already removed a suspected item from my diet?
The test can still identify a possible sensitivity or intolerance to an item you have already removed. Sensitivities and intolerances can change over time, unlike allergies, so your report reflects what is identified at the time of testing.
Can a hair sample identify an allergy?
No. This is a sensitivity and intolerance test, not an allergy test. It cannot diagnose allergies or medical conditions. If you think you may have an allergy, please speak to a healthcare professional.
Do I receive a physical kit?
No physical kit is posted. After ordering online, you’ll receive instructions explaining how to collect and send your hair sample.
How quickly will I receive my report?
Your personalised report is normally emailed within 5–7 days of your sample being received.
