🌞🐍 A Wonderful Day at Godstone Farm! 🐑🐐

On Thursday, our residents enjoyed a fantastic trip to Godstone Farm, filled with plenty of fun, laughter and interesting discoveries. One of the highlights was exploring some of the farm's fascinating exhibits, including a snake skin that Jack was particularly interested in!

There were smiles all round as colleagues Roxie, Jackie and Neena got involved too, posing for some fun photos in the farm's face-in-the-hole boards. It was a lovely day out, creating special memories and enjoying everything the farm had to offer. 💚

🌞🎉 A Wonderful Day at Glebe House’s Annual Summer Party 🎉🌞

Residents, relatives and colleagues came together at Glebe House for our annual Summer Party, enjoying an afternoon filled with great company, delicious food and fantastic entertainment. This year's vintage tea party theme set the scene perfectly, with a singer and DJ keeping everyone entertained throughout the celebration.

Our talented Chef prepared a wonderful selection of treats, including sandwiches, fresh Victoria sponge, cream scones and, of course, plenty of tea. It was lovely to see residents spending quality time with their families and creating special memories together.

As Sam Hadzisa, Home Manager, said: "It was so lovely to see so many smiling faces and residents enjoying their time with their families."

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. 💜

🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of Dedication at Glebe House! 🎉

We are delighted to congratulate our Head Chef, Stephen, on reaching an incredible 10 years of service at Glebe House Care Home.

Over the past decade, Stephen has shown unwavering dedication, hard work, and commitment to our residents and team, helping to make mealtimes a special part of daily life. To mark this milestone, our Group Operations Director, Kirsty, presented Stephen with a gift in recognition of his outstanding contribution.

🎶 Music, Laughter and Plenty of Fun at Glebe House! 🎶

Our residents had a fantastic time during an interactive music session with the wonderful husband-and-wife duo, Lynn and Ian. 🥁🎵

The session was packed with fun, featuring plastic plates, colourful pom-poms and even a quiz to get everyone involved. Residents thoroughly enjoyed banging the plates along to the music, waving their pom-poms in the air and joining in with the activities.

Sessions like these are a great way to encourage participation, stimulate the senses and, most importantly, bring smiles and laughter to everyone involved. Thank you, Lynn and Ian, for such an entertaining afternoon – we can't wait to welcome you back! 💜

🎶 Music, Singing and Smiles at Glebe House! 🎶

On Friday, we were delighted to welcome the lovely Kate Bassett to Glebe House for an afternoon of music and entertainment.

Kate's beautiful voice had everyone singing along to favourites including La Bamba, Feeling Hot Hot Hot and many more. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the performance, dancing, singing and shaking their maracas to the lively tunes.

It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter and happy memories being made as everyone joined in the fun. Thank you, Kate, for a fantastic afternoon – we look forward to welcoming you back again soon! 💜🎵

🎷✨ Jazz Hands at Glebe House! ✨🎷

Our residents recently enjoyed another fantastic Jazz Hands Performing Arts session with the wonderful Kate, bringing plenty of music, movement and smiles to Glebe House.

These interactive sessions are a great way to bring everyone together, encouraging residents to stay active, social and engaged in a fun and supportive environment. From singing along to moving to the music, the room was filled with laughter, energy and enjoyment.

Activities like Jazz Hands provide valuable cognitive stimulation, social interaction and, most importantly, lots of fun!

A big thank you to Kate for another brilliant session. We can't wait to welcome her back for the next one. 💃🎶😊

☀️ A lovely afternoon of local history and fresh air for our residents at Glebe House!

Residents recently enjoyed a walk to the nearby Church of Saints Peter and Paul, a remarkable Grade I listed building with Saxon origins, located just down the road from our home. During the visit, they learned about the church’s fascinating history, including its famous 12th-century mural depicting scenes from the Last Judgement and Purgatory, believed to have been painted by a travelling artist-monk around 1170.

The residents thoroughly enjoyed discovering more about this unique local landmark, followed by a relaxing stroll in the sunshine. It was a wonderful opportunity to combine gentle exercise, social interaction and a touch of local heritage. 💙

🌿✨ A lovely morning out for our residents at Glebe House! ✨🌿

Our residents recently enjoyed a wonderful trip to Knights Garden Centre in Warlingham. The journey itself was just as special – taking in the beautiful Surrey scenery and sharing stories along the way.

Once there, we spent time admiring the gorgeous plants and flowers, with plenty of chats about favourites and ideas for the home. We even picked up some lovely new additions to brighten up Glebe House! 🌸

It was a thoroughly enjoyed day out, and everyone is already looking forward to our next adventure together 💚

⭐️We have been celebrating at Glebe House following our latest CQC inspection, which rated our home as 'Good' in all areas ⭐️

Home Manager, Sam, commented: "We’re absolutely delighted with the results of our latest CQC inspection.
