What better way to celebrate the start of meteorological autumn than a beautiful, sunny visit to Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway. We caught the last steam train, looked around the gardens and had the best time.

A huge thank you to all the staff there, especially those who manage the steam railway and passengers. You all made our experience really fun and memorable!

We’re delighted to share that we have received a Certificate of Participation from NAPA for taking part in Afternoon Tea Week 2026!

Our residents came together two weeks ago to celebrate with a chic Parisian tea which included cheese and wine tasting 🍷

What a wonderful way to spend a Friday afternoon! 🎶 Harpist Margaret Watson delighted us with a beautiful selection of music, from modern favourites to classical pieces, creating some truly touching moments.

We also learnt some fascinating facts about the harp and feel so lucky to have had such a talented musician take the time to share her music with us 💕

Thank you to all who came to our Summer Fayre last Saturday! 🌞

We’re delighted to share that together we raised an amazing £500 on the day for Brendoncare Knightwood! 💛

It was wonderful seeing our local community, businesses, friends and families come together to enjoy the day. Thank you for your generosity and support — we can’t wait to welcome you all again very soon!

🇫🇷 🥐 Bonjour mes amis! ☕ 🇫🇷

To celebrate National Afternoon Tea Week we swapped scones for something a little Ooh la-la this year! As many residents have fond memories of holidaying in France we transformed a corner of our lounge to a floral Parisian picnic.

We enjoyed tasting a variety of French cheeses (who knew Bleu d’Auvergne would be the first to go!) tried lemon quince jelly, chutneys, croissants and non-alcoholic Cabernet Sauvignon which was a hit! Santé! 🍷

Today we enjoyed a visit from two therapy rabbits, Dolittle and Duchess 🐇 We cuddled and petted whilst reminiscing about our beloved pets that had enriched our lives. Thank you to Emma from going2giggle for sharing your rabbits and their life stories. A fun fact we learned was that they prefer banana 🍌 to carrot 🥕 We look forward to a return visit 🥰
