🌿 Welcome to Lifeworks by Rio | The Yurt & Meadow 🌿
We thought it was time to re-introduce ourselves and remind our lovely local community that we’re here! ✨

Tucked away in the beautiful countryside of Charfield, just 10 minutes from Junction 14 of the M5, Lifeworks by Rio is home to our gorgeous Yurt & Meadow — a peaceful, welcoming space created for connection, wellbeing and time to simply slow down.
We’re lucky enough to host a wonderful community of trained wellness professionals, teachers and practitioners, who use our space to offer yoga, Pilates, meditation, sound healing, workshops, retreats and so much more. 🌿🧘‍♀️✨

If you’re local and looking for something nourishing for your body, mind or soul, take a look at our online timetable to see what’s coming up. Classes and events are booked directly with the individual instructor, so simply get in touch with them to reserve your space.

And if you’re a wellness teacher, therapist, facilitator or practitioner looking for a beautiful, peaceful space to host your own classes, workshops, courses or retreats, we’d absolutely love to hear from you. 💚

*Sound Healing Training: Himalayan Singing Bowls*

Foundation Level 1 with Rounik

*A weekend of learning, practice & presence*

This is a certification course in foundational sound healing with Himalayan singing bowls. Over the 2 days we’ll explore both the theory and the practice of working with these sacred instruments — discovering how they support meditation, deep rest, journeying and healing for yourself and others.

There will be space for hands-on play and practice, time for reflection and discussion, and clear guidance rooted in many years of experience offering treatments and sound healing and sound baths to thousands of people.

Together, we’ll cover:

* The origins and history of Tibetan singing bowls
* The science of vibration and how sound supports the physical and energy bodies
* Playing bowls with presence: striking & stroking techniques
* Working with single bowls and chakra sets
* Using singing bowls for meditation, aura clearing, nervous system regulation
* Foundations of one-to-one work, both off-body and on-body (sound massage) treatments

What’s included

✨ A 7-metal handmade singing bowl from Nepal (worth around £65-£75)
✨ A printed course manual
✨ A 1-hour online follow-up session (3–4 weeks after the weekend)
✨ Plenty of space for Q&A and experiential learning
✨ Small group size (maximum of 8 participants) for personalised guidance

*If you already have bowls, you’re welcome to bring them so they can be part of the collective vibration of the weekend. Bowls and materials will be provided.

Certification

On completing the course, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion accredited by the CTAA. This training gives you a strong foundation in working with singing bowls for personal practice, meditation, and the beginnings of 1:1 sound healing.

Venue

The Yurt at Lifeworks by Rio is a large, magical space with underfloor heating and is surrounded by rolling fields, a river and there is even a lovely hobbit house where we may choose to have lunch in.
