📚✨ Beyond the Bookshelf at Choice & Harmony ✨📚

From Wonderland to Wonka's chocolate factory, Cherry Tree Lane to the Magical Enchanted Woods , our team stepped into the pages of some of our favourite stories for a day filled with imagination, laughter and creativity.

Thank you to everyone who dressed up, joined in the fun, and helped bring these magical worlds to life. Here's to another unforgettable Choice & Harmony celebration! 📖

Calendar Update❗️❗️

August has arrived, bringing with it a month filled with exciting adventures, creativity, and unforgettable memories! ☀️🌻

Join us as we explore Leybourne Lakes, Whitstable Castle, race at Pedal Karting, and engage in hands-on activities with DIY Group, Capstone Craft, and Upcycling Club. We’ll also celebrate together at our Service User BBQ, get moving with Move & Groove, learn new skills in Signing Class, and enjoy the great outdoors with our Gardening Club. 🌿🎨💃

With the summer holidays in full swing, we plan to make the most of the warm weather by engaging with the community, staying active, creating new memories, and, of course, keeping cool, hydrated, and sun-safe throughout the month. ☀️💦🧢

☀️ Hello, Sunshine... and Hello, Sun Safety! 😎🧴

With the temperatures on the rise, it's time to get out there, soak up that fresh air, and bask in the golden glow! 🌼💛

Before you dash outside, make sure to lather on the sun protection! Our nifty sunscreen guide is packed with easy-peasy tips to keep everyone sun-safe while frolicking outdoors.

🌞 Don’t forget:
🧴 Slather on that SPF before stepping out
⏰ Reapply every 2 hours like clockwork
👒 Rock a hat and shades like a pro
💧 Stay hydrated and grab some shade when needed

❗️❗️ATTENTION FOR PARENTS AND CARERS ❗️❗️

Our building is extremely hot this morning with the temperatures sitting at 29.5 degrees at 7:40am.

We ask that if service users are to attend, then please send them in with the appropriate clothes on. We will of course be keeping an eye on the buildings temperature and our service users for any signs of distress. With this being said we do ask that you please make sure you are contactable today as we will be calling if things get to hot! 🥵🌞🔥

At Choice & Harmony, we know that supporting our service users also means valuing the incredible parents and carers behind them too!!

As a small thank you, we'd love to invite you to our Parents' BBQ on 29th July for an afternoon of good food, laughter and great company. You may have noticed that Paula sent home some slips with all the information on that you will need about our BBQ. Please return this to us ASAP so that we can order enough food for all!!

We hope as may of you can join us as you can for a well-deserved catch-up and celebration of all that you do when the centre is closed!!🍔🌭

☀️ Heatwave Alert! ☀️

As temperatures are predicted to rise again this week into the 30's, we're committed to keeping all our service users safe, cool, and comfortable as much as possible 💙

Please assist by providing your person with:
💧 A refillable water bottle
🧢 A hat
🕶️ Sunglasses (if necessary)
🧴 Sunscreen
👕 Light, comfortable clothing

Our team will promote staying hydrated, taking regular breaks, and spending time in the shade throughout the day.
