Tomorrow is the start of-
❤️ World Heart Rhythm Week ❤️
If you're over 65, it's important to have your pulse checked regularly. Irregular heart rhythms, such as atrial fibrillation (AF), become more common with age and can often go unnoticed until they lead to serious complications, including stroke.
High-Risk Individuals: If you have underlying conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease, or sleep apnea, it is worth thinking about early screening
At SK Podiatry, every Initial Consultation includes a vascular Doppler assessment, which checks the circulation in your legs and can also identify if your pulse appears irregular.
If any irregularities are detected, and with your consent, a referral letter will be sent to your GP requesting further investigation.
Knowing your pulse could help detect a problem early and support better long-term health.
Book your appointment with SK Podiatry today, Early detection can make a real difference, and I’m here to help you stay on top of your cardiovascular health.
