💙 Here to Help 💙

Sometimes the best care comes from knowing when extra support is needed. If a patient requires specialist wound management, I can help ensure they are assessed and referred to the right services promptly.

Early intervention can make a real difference to healing and wellbeing. If you’re concerned about a wound or foot health issue, don’t hesitate to seek advice.

Tomorrow is the start of-

❤️ World Heart Rhythm Week ❤️

If you're over 65, it's important to have your pulse checked regularly. Irregular heart rhythms, such as atrial fibrillation (AF), become more common with age and can often go unnoticed until they lead to serious complications, including stroke.

High-Risk Individuals: If you have underlying conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease, or sleep apnea, it is worth thinking about early screening

At SK Podiatry, every Initial Consultation includes a vascular Doppler assessment, which checks the circulation in your legs and can also identify if your pulse appears irregular.

If any irregularities are detected, and with your consent, a referral letter will be sent to your GP requesting further investigation.

Knowing your pulse could help detect a problem early and support better long-term health.

Book your appointment with SK Podiatry today, Early detection can make a real difference, and I’m here to help you stay on top of your cardiovascular health.

SK Podiatry is taking a well-needed break to recharge, spend quality time with family, and catch up on household and garden duties.

I’ll be taking a short break from home visits until 29th May, and all enquiries and messages will be responded to on my return.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support 💙

Today I attended the Primary Care Show in Birmingham. It was great to catch up with friends and meet new professionals across primary care.

One of the most interesting — and concerning — topics discussed was how women are often undertreated and under-referred for cardiovascular disease.

At SK Podiatry, every initial consultation includes a Doppler assessment to check circulation and heart rhythm. Irregularities in heart rhythm could indicate atrial fibrillation (AF), and with your consent any concerns are reported to your GP for further investigation.

Early detection = early management = better outcomes.

This morning’s training with ToeFlex was an excellent experience. I was genuinely impressed by how easy the product is to handle and shape to create a natural and aesthetic nail reconstruction.

I’m very pleased with my first ToeFlex nail and look forward to introducing this aesthetic treatment soon.

Just a few final items to organise and I’ll be ready to offer the service in the comfort of your own home alongside your podiatry appointment.

Back from a full day of training in Onyfix and Toeflex — and I absolutely loved every minute of it! 🙌

Always great to keep learning and developing new skills to help my patients even more. 👣

To top the day off, I came home to another fantastic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review.

So grateful for all the support and kind feedback — it really does mean the world. Thank you! 💙

💙 Dementia Action Week | 18–24 May 💙

At SK Podiatry, I am proud to support the Forget Me Not Appeal by the Alzheimer’s Society this Dementia Action Week.

Many of my patients are living with dementia, and I see first-hand the importance of kindness, patience, understanding, and compassionate care. Small acts of support can make a huge difference to both those affected and their families.

Next week is a reminder that people living with dementia should never feel forgotten or alone. Together, we can help raise awareness, encourage understanding, and support vital research and services.

If you would like to learn more or support the Forget Me Not Appeal, please visit the Alzheimer’s Society website.
