🎂✨ Last Tuesday we celebrated Diana’s birthday here at Court House! ✨🎂

Residents and staff came together to wish Diana a very happy birthday, complete with a beautiful cake, plenty of smiles and lots of birthday wishes. 🥰

🎶✨ Music, laughter and a touch of sparkle filled Court House last week when Millena joined us for a wonderful afternoon of live entertainment! ✨🎶

Residents enjoyed singing along, shaking instruments, dressing up and sharing lots of smiles throughout the pertormance. It was one of those afternoons filled with joy, laughter and wonderful memories. 🥰

Last Thursday we brought a little bit of the Chelsea Flower Show to Court House 🌸✨

Residents enjoyed a beautifully themed lunch complete with fresh flowers, floral crowns, colourful table decorations, Pimms and a delicious spring-inspired menu prepared by one of our wonderful Chefs Angie. 💐🍓🍹

There was lots of chatting, laughter and admiration for all the beautiful flowers throughout the afternoon - and of course, everyone looked fantastic in their flower crowns and leis too! 🌼

Last Friday we had flowers and sunshine with our pub afternoon - the perfect Friday activity ☀️🌸🍻

We spent the afternoon arranging gorgeous fresh flowers while enjoying drinks outside in the garden together. There was lots of laughter, chatting and soaking up the sunshine! 💐✨

We’re all mad here… 🫖♠️♥️✨

Back on 30th April, we stepped into Wonderland for a magical Alice in Wonderland themed supper here at Court House! From Playing Card Platters, Cheshire Cat Cheese and Charcuterie Tails, to Mad Hatters Unbirthday Cupcakes, colourful ‘Drink Me Potion’ cocktails, the evening was full of fun, laughter and plenty of silliness. 🐇🍹🃏

Our residents absolutely embraced the theme (and looked fantastic in their handmade hats too 🥹). A huge thank you goes to Angie for the incredible themed spread she created for everyone - it looked amazing and went down wonderfully! 💖

Yesterday we welcomed Museum To You for a wonderful Thatchers cider tasting afternoon here at Court House. 🍎🍺

Residents enjoyed learning all about the history of Thatcher’s, and the different flavours and styles produced right here in Somerset. We sampled a variety of ciders *including an alcohol-free option* whilst chatting, reminiscing and sharing opinions on everyone’s favourites. 😊

There were lots of smiles, plenty of discussion, and even a few surprise favourites discovered along the way! A lovely relaxed afternoon celebrating a true Somerset tradition. 🥂✨

Yesterday we celebrated Somerset Day at Court House with a true taste of the county! 🍏🐉❤️💛

Residents enjoyed a Somerset tasting evening featuring:

🍎 Kingston Black Cider
🍷 Port Wine of Glastonbury Cider
🍐 Heck’s Perry Cider
🍯 Traditional Mead
🍎 Heck’s Apple Juice
🍐 Heck’s Pear Juice

Alongside some delicious Somerset-inspired nibbles, everyone had their own tasting score card to rate each drink out of 10 - which sparked lots of discussion, laughter, and some very strong opinions! 😂

After all the scores were added up, our final results were:

🥇 Heck’s Pear Juice — 98/10
🥈 Heck’s Apple Juice — 94/10
🥉 Traditional Mead — 73/10
4️⃣ Heck’s Perry Cider — 70/10
5️⃣ Kingston Black Cider — 62/10
6️⃣ Port Wine of Glastonbury Cider — 59/10

It was lovely hearing residents sharing memories of Somerset, chatting about cider farms, local traditions, and favourite drinks throughout the afternoon. 🥰
