We had a lovely time celebrating all things Australia at Peverel Green Care Home 🇦🇺💜

Our residents got creative with some Australian themed arts and crafts, decorating kangaroos, koalas, emus and flags with plenty of colour and a generous sprinkling of glitter 🦘🐨✨ There was lots of creativity on show, and everyone put their own little touch on their artwork.

In the afternoon, we carried on the celebrations in our café area with some tasty nibbles, drinks and plenty of laughter and banter. It was a great day of getting together and enjoying each other’s company 😊

Flower arranging at Peverel Green Care Home Home is always one of our favourite activities 💜

Elaine from Hatfield Peverel Flower Club brings in the most beautiful selection of flowers, and our residents love getting stuck in, arranging them into vases with their own little touches. There’s always so much creativity, with each arrangement turning into something completely unique 🌹🌺

By the end, our home is filled with colour and fresh blooms, dotted around for everyone to enjoy. It really does brighten up the day in the loveliest way 🏠

Making windchimes at Peverel Green Care Home was a real hit with our residents 💜

There was lots of creativity on show as butterflies and owls were carefully decorated with colourful pens, then finished off with a few sparkling rhinestones for that extra touch. Each one turned out completely unique, just like the people who made them 🦋🦉

Once everything was put together with chimes and ribbons, we spent the afternoon out in the garden finding the perfect spots to hang them. It was lovely seeing everyone’s creations.

One of our favourite days at Peverel Green Care Home is when the baby goats from Blackwater Alpacas & Pygmy Goats Ltd come to visit 🐐💜

Our wonderful residents loved spending time cuddling them on their laps, giving them lots of gentle fuss, and enjoying all the smiles that these little visitors bring. It's always such a lovely afternoon, with plenty of conversation, laughter, and special moments shared together.

We all look forward to animal visits, and we already can't wait to welcome the baby goats back again 😊

Pamper days are always a big hit here at Peverel Green Care Home 💜

During the day, our residents enjoyed a few well deserved treats, from trips to the hair salon to a fresh manicure, with plenty of time to sit back and feel looked after 💅

We carried the calm into the evening too, with soft music playing, a glass of wine in hand, and gentle hand massages finished with their favourite nail colours. A lovely way to wind down together 😊

There's always a great atmosphere when Dean from G Fitness comes to visit Peverel Green Care Home 💪🎶

With music playing, our wonderful residents enjoyed joining in with a fun armchair exercise session, from gentle stretches and shoulder movements to plenty of leg and toe tapping. The resistance bands always bring a few smiles, and a laugh or two, especially when Dean is on hand to help everyone get set up.

It's always a brilliant session, and our residents are already looking forward to seeing Dean again soon 💜

Our wonderful residents at Peverel Green Care Home enjoyed a lovely trip to The Jolly Sailor before lunch, making the most of the beautiful summer sunshine by the quayside 🍷☀️

There was plenty of chatting, lots of smiles, and a well deserved tipple as everyone relaxed and watched the boats go by. Days out like these are always a real treat, and it's easy to see why our residents enjoy them so much 💜

July saw us celebrating a few of our favourite dates in the calendar, alongside all the everyday moments that make each month special 💜

We marked World Chocolate Day with a few well deserved treats, celebrated National Ice Cream Day with everyone's favourite flavours, and during , we took the opportunity to recognise our wonderful teams who make such a difference every day 🍦🍫

Alongside the celebrations, there were all the little moments that make each month what it is, catching up with friends, enjoying favourite activities and making the most of the summer days.

There's always a warm welcome waiting for Dean G Fitness at Peverel Green Care Home 😊💜

Our wonderful residents always look forward to his visits, enjoying gentle chair exercises set to upbeat music. From stretching arms and legs to getting hands and feet moving, everyone joins in at their own pace while sharing plenty of smiles along the way. 💪🎵

It's more than just exercise. It's a lovely chance to catch up, have a chat, and enjoy spending time together, which is why Dean's sessions are always such a favourite 💜

We made the most of the sunshine with a busy day in the garden at Peverel Green Care Home 💜

This morning, our wonderful residents got creative making scarecrows with funny hats, googly eyes and lots of colourful decorations. Once they were finished, we found the perfect places for them in the garden before giving our vegetable plants a well needed drink 🌱🍅

After lunch, it was time for a game of bowls, which definitely brought out everyone's competitive side. There was plenty of laughter, friendly banter and cheering as the bowls rolled closer and closer to the jack. Three lucky winners managed to hit the target, with great sportsmanship shown by everyone 🎳

We finished the afternoon with an ice lolly and a cold drink in the sunshine. A lovely day enjoyed together 💜
