One session is a treat. Six is a turning point.

“How many reflexology sessions should I have?” is a question I get asked a lot in clinic.

And the honest answer? One session is lovely. It really is. You’ll leave floating, sleep better that night, feel calmer for a few days.

But here’s what I’ve learned after five years of doing reflexology work: it’s session four, five, six where something different starts to happen.

Your nervous system stops bracing. It learns a new normal. The shift becomes something you take home with you, not something that fades by Wednesday.

That’s why I built the Foundation Series - my six week programme using the power of reflexology.

If your nervous system and hormones have been asking for support for a while, this is what listening looks like.

DM me “FOUNDATION” and I’ll send you the details.

What happens in vagus, stays in vagus.

Except when it doesn’t - and the alarm bells start ringing in places you didn’t know your nervous system kept score.

IBS at 42. Palpitations at 3am. Anxiety out of nowhere. Sleep that won’t come back. Hormone imbalances blood tests can’t explain.

Here’s the bit nobody talks about: Perimenopause isn’t just a hormonal shift. It’s also a nervous system event. And until we treat it that way, women keep getting handed supplements, antidepressants and the pill - when what their body is actually asking for is safety.

Reflexology works with nerve endings including the deep embedded vagus - the bridge between your hormones and how you feel.

Balance the vagus, and the rest of the body remembers how to balance itself.

Full breakdown is on my blog - link is in my bio.

Or comment VAGUS if you want to know more about the Foundation Series.

Save this if any of those symptoms felt a little too familiar.

So, I have a very lovely but quirky address…

This gorgeous Georgian listed building at 7 Montpellier Walk (previously occupied by the much missed ) was completed renovated and divided up into separate small units, with mine being at the very top third floor.

The quirk? The entrance to the upstairs units are via Montpellier Street side (not Montpellier Walk side, which faces Montpellier Gardens - only and have dual entrances)

So if you’ve been thinking of working with me then save this post for when you’re ready to click book and you can find me in a jiffy.

It’s a gem of a Cheltenham location - vibrant yet peaceful and surrounded by other amazing independent businesses.

Just something I’ve observed across five years of treating women in their 40s - quietly noticing patterns alongside what the client says vs what the feet/body “says”.

My ability to observe and see patterns isn’t taught during training.

In my case it’s through both lived experience (I’m hypermobile, neurodivergent and perimenopausal - with a bonus rare illness on top) and through five years of daily reflexology practice.

So If any of this this strikes a chord, save this one - you’ll want to come back to it.

Comment BENDY and I’ll send you the blog post where I go into more detail and explain how reflexology helps.

Note: this is my own observation, not a clinical claim. Always consult a doctor for medical advice.

Beyond all odds, here I am as a finalist for a second local award!

So it seems my eternal quest for raising the profile of reflexology as a standalone therapy is slowly but surely paying off.

My clients can only speak of the positive results they get from reflexology with me and I get huge job satisfaction as a result.

Soon enough there will be exciting findings being published of functional MRI studies that show the effects of reflexology on the brain via neural pathways (watch this space!)

In the meantime I’ll continue to do what I love and ultimately who I do it for - you, my clients!

Well, this is quite the surprise. Honestly!

Thanks to everyone who voted for me. Would not be here without your continued support and most of all my much cherished clients for letting me hold space and do what I love.

Anyone who knows me sees me waving the reflexology flag everywhere I go - it’s been my mission to raise the profile of reflexology as a credible standalone therapy that brings relief to many.

Regardless of the outcome, being a finalist is already a huge achievement. The winners will
be announced on the 21st May at awards ceremony.

There’s no “us”, no team - just me, running my business solo (aka a small fish in the big competitive wellness pond) But i’m oh so proud of the community i’ve built over the last five years so why not try to celebrate it with a Lifestyle & Community award!

While it can be testing living with an ongoing rare disease, without it I wouldn’t be here now doing what I love and it’s made me strive to study women’s health, advocate for reflexology as a standalone therapy and create nurturing spaces for them to heal and renew. Would you help me toot my horn with me? 📣

Votes close on Sunday 29th March so if you’ve enjoyed working with me through reflexology then i’d love your vote!🫶🏻

Thanks for your support, big love - Chrissy xx
