The cost of masking at work is high – it's exhausting, it erodes confidence, and it keeps people from doing their best work. People mask for good reasons: fear of judgement, past experience, culture. It's self-protection.

Business etiquette is about how we treat each other. It's not about projecting a version of yourself that feels acceptable, or shrinking to fit in. The most effective professionals are the ones most genuine.
