Job Description:
Care Assistant (Domiciliary Care) – Part Time (20 hours/week)

Pay: £15.00–£17.00 per hour�Job type: Part-time, Permanent (20 hours per week)�Location: Community based / in clients’ homes (in person)

Overview
We’re looking for a compassionate, reliable Care Assistant to join our domiciliary care team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). You’ll support people in their own homes to live safely and independently, while promoting dignity, respect, and choice. Full training is provided.

Key responsibilities
* Support with personal care (washing, dressing, continence care)
* Help with meal preparation, hydration and light household tasks
* Provide companionship and emotional support
* Follow individual care plans and report any changes in wellbeing
* Keep accurate care notes/records (basic IT use)
* Support with shopping, outings and appointments when required
* Work safely and follow health & safety / infection prevention guidance
Experience & requirements
* Experience in care is desirable (but not essential – training provided)
* Full UK driving licence required
* Confident communicating in spoken and written English
* Able to follow care plans and work professionally in clients’ homes
* Basic IT skills for recording notes (preferred)
Right to work / sponsorship
* You must have the right to work in the UK.
* We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.

£9.50 per hour plus mileage
Main purpose of the job:
To make a difference to the people we care for by putting the person in the centre of their care - with no short visits.

Essential Criteria:
• You must have access to a car; be prepared to have business insurance as part of your motor policy (free from most insurers), travel reasonable distances.
• A mandatory DBS (we can help)
• Work experience in the care sector.
• Suitable employment references, though not essential, some knowledge and experience of dementia and palliative care would be an advantage, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills with an outgoing personality full of confidence.

Job Type: Permanent, guaranteed 20 hours per week for full-time staff, variable for part-time staff.
