😊 Happy memories from September 2024 celebrating Public Hearts Defib No 7️⃣5️⃣ with our Key Partners and Defib Family at The Municipal Offices Cheltenham Borough Council.

🌟Relationships are the heart of Public Hearts and these are what makes our not-for-profit and voluntary community defib campaign the success it is.

🆕️ 2 years on, and we have placed another 5️⃣0️⃣ publicly accessible defibrillators to help in the event of a cardiac arrest.

🫀 And every time a defibrillator is accessed and used, thats another potentially lifesaving and life-changing chance for for someone when they need it most

And that's something we all want.
For ourselves and each other 💚

Teamwork makes the dream work at Public Hearts 💚

🤲 Greg and I make a super efficient tag team, effectively ensuring through a system - quite like crop rotation!- to make sure that defibs are clean accessible and rescue ready

ℹ️ That means updating everybody about upcoming pad renewals,making sure that batteries are in date and operational and keeping our defib family updated with what's going on with their defibs.

⚠️ Particularly when there can be shortage of supply around certain defibrillators

💚 So here we are, getting the basics right. And that's how over 99% of our defibs are always rescue ready and available in the event of a cardiac arrest.

🔛This is why being a proactive and regular defib guardian is so important

1️⃣ day the defib could be down to a battery bar - the next day it's flashing and that's the difference between a potential life saving shock and maybe one there isn't able to deliver to full capacity ⚡️

🔋So as Guardians, we carry a robust stock of spare kit including pads and batteries

🎗Cancer isn't just an illness it's also a journey and with all journeys it can really vary in direction, pace and environment, and how our world can look through that new and evolving lens

💡 Dealing with cancer and the menopause is an entirely different level and 2 years on, it still presents its challenges

😇 So thank you to everybody who offers their support empathy and understanding

09.09 is Emergency Services Day 💚

Today we celebrate, support and reflect on all of our immense Emergency Services from essential to charity. Our NHS Police Fire Ambulance Air Ambulance and ancillary/connected services

The difference they make to us when we are sick, vulnerable and in emergency situations is literally life-changing and life-saving

Thank you to everybody in these fields, and particularly so during increased demand where this Summer saw the highest demand for Ambulance Services in many of the 14 that we have throughout the UK

🚁 A special shout out to all Air Ambulances today who are funded by charities and look after the most 1% severe cases - of which around 25% are cardiac arrests
