Because it calms your nervous system with gentle supportive bodywork.

When the body feels calm it transmits this to the brain.

This is calming your 'caveman' reactions - and switches your body from fight/flight and back into a healing state.

It's similar to Progressive Muscle Relaxation - which enables the body to release tension and anxiety.

The jaw never works alone but it does act as the brake for your nervous system when emtional tension is high but you can't express yourself.

We don't brush our teeth daily because anything is wrong we do it because maintenance prevents crisis.

Your dental hygiene habit prevents cavities and gum disease but did you know that your nervous system benefits from a regular routine too?

Real nervous system change doesn’t come from intensity, it comes from consistency.

Tiny cues, repeated daily, slowly reshape the baseline your system returns to.

This may include:

🌿Regular gentle movement
🌿Honest boundaries
🌿Saying no to create more self-time
🌿Time outs between tasks
🌿Meditative activities (like hobbies)
🌿Getting to bed on time
