We are recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join our Financial Management team, supporting budget management, financial reporting, month-end processes and financial analysis.

We are looking for someone with management accounting experience or a sound understanding gained through degree-level study or relevant experience. The role would also be well suited to a graduate looking to develop their career in financial management. Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel are essential.

From today, children and pregnant women can get their flu vaccinations ahead of winter.

Children aged 2 and 3 can get vaccinated at their GP surgery, while most school-aged children will be offered the vaccine at school.

Pregnant women can speak to their maternity team, GP practice or community pharmacy about getting vaccinated.

Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals has introduced Martha’s Rule, a national NHS patient safety initiative giving patients, families, carers and staff an additional way to raise concerns if an inpatient’s condition is getting worse.

The initiative is named after Martha Mills, who sadly died from sepsis aged 13 after her family’s concerns about her deterioration were not acted upon. The expansion of Martha’s Rule across all NHS acute hospitals was announced on what would have been Martha’s 18th birthday, 4 September 2025.
