☀️ Aylesbury – a reminder that our social group is on this Friday☀️

With the warmer weather here, we’ll be making the most of our lovely cool space at Foxhills Bowls Club; a great place to escape the heat, enjoy some company and have a relaxed morning together.

Join us this Friday, 10am–12pm for:
🎯 Darts
🃏 Cards and games
🎲 Plenty of friendly activities
☕ Free tea and coffee

We’ll also have free Hydration Jelly Drops packs available for anyone attending who is finding it difficult to drink enough fluids, or who is supporting a loved one who struggles with hydration. They’re a great little helping hand during hot weather.

Whether you come along for the games, the refreshments, or simply a friendly chat, everyone is welcome.

☀️ A huge thank you to our incredible care team during this heatwave ☀️

While many people are staying indoors trying to keep cool, our carers are still out travelling from home to home, ensuring our clients remain safe, comfortable, hydrated and cared for.

Working in this heat is not easy, especially whilst wearing PPE, driving between visits and continuing to give the same compassionate, high-quality care our clients rely on every single day. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.
Thank you for the early mornings, the late evenings, the extra welfare checks, the cold drinks reminders, the kindness, patience and smiles you continue to bring despite the soaring temperatures.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. You are all amazing 🩵

Since Covid, so many older people have experienced loneliness and isolation, with fewer chances to get out, socialise and enjoy simple activities with others 💙

That’s why we’re really excited to be launching our Monthly Get-Together at Foxhill Indoor Bowls Club in just 2 days time 😊

A relaxed, friendly morning with darts, cards, carpet bowls, bocce, tea, coffee and plenty of chatting and laughter ☕🎯

If you have a loved one who would enjoy getting out more, meeting people and having something regular to look forward to, we’d love for them to come along.

🧶☕ Knit & Natter at Foxhill Bowls Club ☕🧶

Every Wednesday | 10:30am – 1pm

Our Knit & Natter group at Foxhill Bowls Club continues to grow into such a lovely, welcoming community and we’d love to see even more people come along.

Whether you knit, crochet, craft, or simply fancy a cuppa and some company while keeping your hands busy, everyone is welcome. There’s no pressure, just a relaxed, friendly space to spend a few hours.

We’re also really pleased to share that, through Buckinghamshire Buckinghamshire Councils “Pump It Up” initiative, Maria from Heritage & Sons Funeral Directors and I are now trained to offer blood pressure checks during our Tuesday and Wednesday sessions at Foxhill. High blood pressure often has no symptoms, so this is a simple way for people to keep an eye on their health while out in the community.
