What happens at my appointment?
This is something everyone wants to know but rarely asks ☺️
You will be welcomed into my home and offered a glass of water 🏠🥛
You will already know that I have a small rescue French Bull Dog called Ronnie.🐾🐕
You might notice him in the adjacent room secured by a gate, he is nosey so most likely will be peering through the bars at you 👀😅
I will only ever let him in the same room as you, if you want to say hello or if you want to use my ground floor bathroom. 🚽🧻
You will be asked to complete a medical health questionnaire. This is to ensure I am aware of any allergies or health conditions. This information should also include a list of regular medications you take or any recent medical or cosmetic procedures you have had. You will only be asked to complete this once a year but also inform me at each appointment if there has been any changes. 🏥
We will have a brief conversation and you will be given an opportunity to ask me any questions you may have. I want you to feel comfortable and welcomed. 🙏
We will go upstairs to my therapy room which has soft lighting with twinkle lights and fake candles dotted around the room. 🕯🕯🕯🕯
I will ask you to remove shoes and socks and to lay down on the massage bed. 🧦👟🛏
Depending on weather and preference you will be offered a soft blanket to keep warm. I have pillows and an adjustable head rest. Treatment will not start until you are comfy. ☺️
There will background music, hardly noticeable and can help you to relax and switch off. 🎶
Reflexology usually lasts around 40 minutes and includes warm wet flannels applied to feet first. Songbird reflexology wax or organic grapeseed oil is used for grip and movement during treatment. 🪔
You might drift off to sleep 😴
You might even snore! This the best compliment I can receive 🙌
Sometimes clients go into a state of meditation and experience seeing different shapes and colours ✨️
You might feel tingly, warm and floaty
Calming those brain worms if possible 🪱 😌
For this to happen peace and tranquility is essential, conversation is kept to a minimum unless you want to talk...I will always respect your wishes. 🤞🌠
I normally remove residue wax from lower legs and feet and put your socks back on for you before you sit up. 🧦
You will be offered a glass of water at the end of treatment and left to get yourself ready to come down stairs while I go and wash my hands. 🚻
I encourage you to take time on coming downstairs as you can feel light headed and floaty following a treatment. 📶
