At Kingfisher Nursing Home, we are celebrating Maintenance Week by recognising someone who helps keep everything running smoothly everyday - our wonderful maintenance person, Peter.
Peter is a true multitasker, and no job is ever too big or too small. Whatever the task, he tackles it with a smile, bringing reliability, dedication, and a positive attitude to everything he does.
We are incredibly lucky to have you as part of the Kingfisher family.

☀️ Summer, sunshine and unforgettable memories 💛

Across Westgate Healthcare, July was filled with incredible Summer BBQs, bringing together residents, families, friends and our dedicated teams for days full of celebration, live entertainment and delicious food.

From themed celebrations to music, dancing and community spirit, every BBQ was a reminder that it's the people we share these moments with that make them what they are.

Here is a glimpse into our summer BBQ with none other than”Elvis”. Residents, staffs and family were all equally involved in the celebrations and thoroughly feasted on Gary’s lovely spread. There were cheers, laughter and joy and the weather was just right!

We're proud to announce that Westgate Healthcare is now one of only three care providers in the UK able to deliver the immersive DIET (Dining Immersive Experiential Training) programme in-house.

Thanks to Group Training Manager Maria, who has qualified as a licensed facilitator, every new colleague will now experience this innovative dementia training alongside our Virtual Dementia Experience as part of their induction.

By helping our teams better understand the challenges people living with dementia face at mealtimes, we're building greater empathy, confidence and person-centred care from day one.

Because exceptional dementia care starts with understanding. 💙

🌞🎉 Congratulations to our wonderful resident, Dot, who is one of the winners of our Resident Summer Big Wish competition!

Dot has been a passionate LEGO enthusiast for many years and has built an impressive collection, including her beautiful LEGO flower displays. When asked what her Big Wish would be, there was only one answer – to visit a LEGO Store! 🧱🌸

We're delighted to be making that wish come true. Dot will be travelling on our minibus to the LEGO Store in Milton Keynes, where she'll have the opportunity to choose a brand-new LEGO set to add to her collection before enjoying lunch at a nearby restaurant.

We hope Dot has a fantastic day doing something she truly loves, and we can't wait to hear all about her adventure and see which LEGO set she chooses!

Also, congratulations to Tony from Westgate House Care Centre, who is our other Big Wish winner and will soon be enjoying a visit to Arsenal Stadium. ⚽❤️
