FND Peer Support Hi,
My Name is Karla. I was diagnosed with FND in December 2023, and like many of you, I am sure, it turned my life upside down in a heartbeat.

This support page has been developed to assist individuals and carers of those diagnosed with Functional Neurological Dissorder (FND), share common issues and come together to support each other. Since the beginning of symptoms to gaining an official diagnosis took approximately 6 months however, since diagnosis, it was evident that the hard work was only just beginning. I Suffer with seizures on

a daily basis (anywhere up to 17 in one night), require the use of a wheel chair and i am no longer able to drive
I found that from diagnosis, there was very little support for those that are affected, especially at a local level, and wanted to firstly set up a facebook community and a physical peer support group for those diagnosed, and also for those carrying out the caring roles.

Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances the shop will be closed from 2pm today.

Reminder that group will be held at the bran new FND Charity Shop and Support Centre tomorrow, 11am until 1pm.

OK guys, so the time has finally come to announce the grand opening of our charity shop and Support Centre.

We have been working extremely hard to get this presentable and looking at it's best.

We will be open tomorrow (Saturday 4th July) 10am until 4pm.

Why not come along and see what amazing stock we have traveled all over for sourcing for you. Prices are extremely cheap so you have a great opportunity to bag a bargain.

Some exciting news.
We are currently in discussions to potentially open a space designed as a support centre and charity shop, with all proceeds helping to support the face to face Peer Support service and online/virtual suppprt that we currently offer.
With this in mind we are kindly looking for donations of items that you no longer use or want, but may be of some us to others.
