Sports Massage vs Deep Tissue Massage
Sports massage and deep tissue massage overlap in some techniques, but they differ in purpose, focus, and how they’re used.
🏃♀️ Sports Massage
• Designed to support performance, recovery, and injury prevention
• Ideal for athletes and active individuals
• Often includes stretching, compression, and movement-based techniques
• Focuses on muscles used during specific activities
🌿 Deep Tissue Massage
• Aims to ease chronic tension and muscle discomfort
• Ideal for people with tight shoulders, necks, backs, or ongoing aches
• Uses slow, firm pressure to target deeper muscle layers
• Focuses on releasing tight, restricted areas
