It’s a question we get asked all the time.

The answer comes down to something many women experiencing hair loss will already know


The hairline is often one of the first areas to be affected.

For many of our clients, the hair around the front of the hairline is the finest, weakest and most fragile hair they have.

When fitting a Mesh Integration system, we need a secure foundation that can comfortably support the system and the additional hair.

Unfortunately, those delicate hairs at the front simply aren’t strong enough to do that.

That’s why we place a small amount of tape at the hairline and shave a minimal section underneath.

This allows us to create a secure, natural-looking finish without putting unnecessary tension or strain on already vulnerable hairs.

Every part of the fitting process is designed with one thing in mind:

Protecting your natural hair while creating the most comfortable, realistic and long-lasting result possible.

Not every woman with hair loss wants her old hair back.
And I think that’s something people often find surprising.

When people think about hair loss, they assume every woman is desperately trying to get back to the hair she once had.

But for some clients, it’s not about going backwards.
It’s about moving forwards.

Take our lovely Jan. Jan absolutely loves her hair system. Not because it makes her look like she did 10 years ago.

Not because she’s trying to recreate the past.
But because it gives her freedom.

Freedom to have different styles.
Freedom to change her look.
Freedom to have the hair she wants on any given day.

In fact, some appointments Jan comes in asking for us to cut it shorter

And honestly, I love that.

People often think being a hair loss specialist means understanding hair.

But the longer I do this work, the more I realise it’s really about understanding people.

The woman who tells you she’s “fine” but hasn’t had her hair down in years.

The woman who arrives saying she’s nervous but has actually spent months building up the courage to book.

The woman who has become an expert at hiding it, styling around it, avoiding certain lights, certain photos, certain situations.

Hair loss changes so much more than hair.

It can affect confidence, identity, relationships and the way someone shows up in the world.

That’s why I’ll never see this as “just hair”.

Every consultation, every transformation and every conversation reminds me why this work matters so much.

Because the best part of what we do isn’t fitting hair.

It’s watching someone slowly start to feel like themselves again. đŸ€
