Did you know your breastmilk adjusts to be more watery in hot weather?

This means that fully breastfed babies do not need any water until they've started eating solid foods. But during hot weather, they may want to breastfeed more than usual.

If you're bottle feeding, as well as their usual milk feeds, you can offer your baby a few sips of cooled boiled water when it’s hot in between feeds. It's important that any water doesn't replace their milk feeds, though.

And, importantly, remember to keep hydrated yourself!

Why we offer a follow up appointment as standard when you book an assessment/division appointment with Tongue-Tie Northwest


Because feeding support doesn't end with the procedure itself. Babies need time to learn new feeding patterns, parents often need further support and healing can affect feeding in so many different way.
For those needing more after the follow up we will often suggest that you upgrade to our enhanced package to allow us to offer the support that you need.
