Speech therapy support looks different for everyone. My number 1 goal is to leave families feeling more confident, informed and motivated to support their child’s communication development!

What have I been up to? 👀🤔📋

Busy weeks do not always offer time to catch up with my amazing community here on Instagram! So after another busy few weeks…I thought I’d share some highlights from over the last 2 weeks 🗓️

1. Speech sound training in an amazing school I work in 👩🏻‍💻
2. Stocking up on resources for sensory led therapy sessions 🎨🪣
3. Attending a careers fair and spreading the word about SALT to prospective students! 📢🏫
4. Did you ever think sand and speech sound sessions would go together? 🏝️🐚
5. New resources! Loving this set from 🛞🐍⏰

🐣Easter Week at River Speech Therapy

Where did that term go? I have been super super busy and as a result (as I’m sure so many of you are familiar with) have neglected updating you here on my Instagram page! So I thought…. why not share just some of the things we have done this week to both celebrate Easter week and get ready for the Easter Bunny who is hopefully on their way 🐇🍫

2. Spring themed SLT bag and bunny ears 🌷
3. Easter stickers that have been oh so popular 🐥
4. Our bunny ‘What’s in the bag?’ and lots of Easter themed objects. I 🧡 the fillable 🥕
5. An Easter book and chocolate eggs as a little gift for all you communication super stars. You have worked so hard🌟
6. Wooden Easter games to get us up and moving in sessions ✨
7. …and Easter balloons with the same purpose! These have been perfect for working on goals in almost every session 🎈
8. Easter stamps have very much replaced our alphabet this week 🎨

This strategy is often really familiar to lots of adults I work with, one that comes naturally to most of us when communicating with little ones. However, for those children that are having difficulty with their language and communication development, it can actually make things trickier.
