Our dedicated team provides high-quality dementia, nursing and short-term respite care.

Pinetum is a comfortable, purpose-built home in the grounds of the Countess of Chester Hospital. The skilled team provides nursing and respite care for older people, including those who are living with the early stages of dementia. They also offer specialist care for adults with complex care needs, such as brain and spinal injury. When your loved one joins Pinetum, the compassionate team will get

to know them as an individual and create a personalised care and lifestyle plan to support them to live as independently and actively as possible. As well as having bright and well-furnished bedrooms, Pinetum has a choice of spacious and inviting lounges and dining rooms where residents can socialise, or simply spend some quiet time relaxing.

Our Activities Coordinators had the pleasure of attending a meeting organised by our Social Prescriber, Hollie. These meetings are always incredibly meaningful, providing a valuable opportunity to share ideas, collaborate, and gain inspiration to further enhance the experiences and wellbeing of our residents.
A huge thank you to Hollie for her ongoing support and for bringing everyone together. 💙

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of joining Joyce and Ken to celebrate their wedding anniversary and Joyce's birthday. It was a lovely occasion filled with smiles, warmth, and wonderful memories.

🐠💙 A Wonderful Day Out at The Blue Planet! 💙🐠
Today, our residents enjoyed a fantastic trip to The Blue Planet, where they had the opportunity to explore the fascinating underwater world and admire a wide variety of fish and marine life.
The visit brought plenty of smiles, conversations, and special moments as everyone enjoyed the beautiful displays and relaxing atmosphere. Outings like these are a wonderful way to create new memories, encourage social interaction, and enjoy experiences beyond our home.

Remembering D-Day at Pinetum
Today at Pinetum, we came together to remember and honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who took part in D-Day on 6th June 1944.
Our residents enjoyed sharing memories, conversations, and reflections on this significant moment in history. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the bravery of a generation whose legacy continues to inspire us today.

🐟🍟 National Fish & Chips Day at Pinetum! 🍟🐟
Today we celebrated Fish & Chips Day with a delicious homemade lunch prepared by our talented chefs. Freshly battered fish, golden chips, mushy peas, and tartare sauce made for a traditional British favourite enjoyed by everyone.
A big thank you to our kitchen team for creating such a wonderful meal and helping make the day extra special for our residents. ❤️
