This time of year, can be tough if you’re living with a lung condition. Hot weather and humid air during the summer can affect your breathing and make your symptoms worse.

It’s a good idea to regularly check the weather, air pollution and pollen forecasts in your local area. This will help you to prepare for hot weather and plan outdoor activities.

With temperatures remaining high across Northern Ireland this week, it’s so important to take care in the sun!

• Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen (and reapply every 2 hours!)
• Wear a hat and sunglasses
• Seek shade during peak UV hours (11am – 3pm)
• Stay hydrated
• Stay cool
