This week marks 78 years of the NHS – and we're celebrating the people who make it so special.

Two of our own, Kelsey Jones and Kirsty Simmonds, were among just 17 selected NHS staff from across the North West who were invited to a special reception at Downing Street earlier this week to celebrate the birthday and recognise their outstanding contribution.

💙 Kelsey was recognised for transforming how nurses at the Trust are trained and supported.

💙 Kirsty, who joined the NHS at just 16, was recognised after completing the rare achievement of four apprenticeships and earning regional and national awards.

Congratulations, Kelsey and Kirsty – and thank you to you both, and all our staff, for everything you do for our patients and community.

The Practice Development Team!

In August, the corporate Practice Development Team merged with some of our existing ward based clinical Practice Development nurses to form a new version of the team.

This change is allowing us to reach a greater number of staff and provide a more standardised service across the organisation.
