43 years!!! Jeez 43!

My second birthday without my mum, my rock, my cheerleader 😒 I miss you everyday mummy bear.
I am so glad you're by my side guiding me on my journey of healing, journey of spirituality and journey of life.

Trust your intuition ✨️

By making a connection and sharing a rather simple message "You're going to be ok" really made so much difference to this amazing lady.
I knew I had to give her this message. She kept it with her every step of her journey and her treatment.

My heart is so happy. πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Apparently I took grounding VERY literally. πŸ˜‚

But here's the thing...
You don't need to raid your kids' sandpit, hug a tree or sit cross-legged on top of a bloody mountain to ground yourself.

Grounding can be as simple as noticing your feet on the floor. Taking one slower breath. Holding your crystal. Stepping outside. Feeling something beneath your hands.

It isn't about doing it perfectly.
It's about giving yourself a moment to pause, come out of your head and reconnect with where you are, right now.

Pause. Ground. Return.
Your way. πŸ’œ

What's the most random place you've ever found yourself grounding? πŸ˜‚

If you're burnt out, the answer probably isn't finding a better way to squeeze even more into your day.

Sometimes...

something has to give.

So today's One Gentle Step is a really practical one:

Take ONE thing off your list.

And I don't mean move it to tomorrow so tomorrow-you gets an even bigger bloody list. πŸ˜‚

I mean look at everything you've decided needs doing and ask:

"Does this genuinely need to happen today?"

Maybe the washing doesn't get put away.

Maybe dinner is something ridiculously easy.

Maybe you don't answer that message tonight.

Maybe you say no to something.

Maybe you ask somebody else to do it.

Maybe you cancel something that you only agreed to because you felt guilty saying no in the first place.

Whatever it is...

put ONE thing down.

Burnout doesn't happen because you're not strong enough.

Sometimes it happens because you've been strong, capable and
"I'll just bloody do it myself" for far too long.

And healing from that isn't only about bubble baths and early nights.

Sometimes it's learning that you don't have to carry everything in the first place.**

So that's your gentle step today.

One thing.

Off the list.

No guilt.

No moving it somewhere else just to make yourself feel better about taking it off. πŸ˜‚

Let something wait.

Because you matter too. πŸ’œ

What's ONE thing you're giving yourself permission not to do today?

Burnout doesn't always arrive with a massive flashing warning sign saying:

"YOU'VE DONE TOO BLOODY MUCH." πŸ˜‚

Sometimes it creeps in quietly.

You keep going.

You keep saying yes.

You keep getting things done.

You keep telling yourself you'll rest when things calm down...

and somehow, they never bloody do.

Until being exhausted starts to feel normal.

That's why today's Journal With Me isn't about giving you something else to do.

It's about giving you a little space to notice what's been taking so much from you. πŸ’œ

What's draining your energy?

What are you continuing to carry because you feel like you should?

What could wait?

And when was the last time you actually rested without mentally running through everything you 'should' be doing instead?

You don't have to answer every question today.

Choose the one that makes you stop for a second.

The one that gives you that little...

"Oh."

That's probably the one worth sitting with.

Make a cuppa.

Grab your journal, notebook or the back of a bloody envelope if that's what's nearby. πŸ˜‚

And be honest with yourself.

Not about what you ''should'' be able to cope with.

Not about what everybody else manages.

About ''you.''

Because sometimes burnout isn't telling us we need to get better at coping with everything.

Sometimes it's telling us...

SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE.πŸ’œ

Save today's prompts and come back to them when you have a little space.

And remember:

πŸ’œYou don't have to reach breaking point before you're allowed to listen to yourself.

PERMISSION TO PAUSE
A gentle practice for burnout.

Put down whatever you're doing.
Place both feet on the floor.
Drop your shoulders.
Unclench your jaw.
Take three slow breaths.

For the next few moments,
nothing needs you.

You don't need to fix anything.
You don't need to catch up.
You don't need to be productive.

Just pause.

The ONLY permission you need, is from yourself πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

When you've been running on empty for too long, sometimes what you need isn't another thing to DO.

It's permission to stop. πŸ’œ

This week's Pocket Crystal is Amethyst - a gentle companion for emotional healing & calm.

And that's exactly why I've chosen to bring her into our week on burnout.

Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm, emotional balance, rest and creating a little space when your mind feels like it hasn't switched off for about three bloody weeks. πŸ˜‚

But I don't want you to think of your crystal as something that's going to magically "fix" burnout.

Instead, use it as a reminder.

Pop it in your pocket.

Keep it beside your bed.

Hold it while you're having a cuppa.

And whenever you notice it, let it be your little cue to ask yourself:

πŸ’œDo I actually need to keep pushing right now?

Maybe the answer is yes.

But maybe...

the washing can wait.

The message can wait.

That thing you've decided absolutely MUST be done today actually bloody doesn't.

And you can give yourself five minutes.

Hold your Amethyst.

Take a slow breath.

Drop your shoulders.

Unclench your jaw.

And just...

''STOP''

Not forever.

Not until you've got your whole life sorted.

Just for this moment. πŸ’œ

Because sometimes healing doesn't begin with doing more.

Sometimes it begins when we finally allow ourselves to do a little less.

πŸ’œDo you have an Amethyst you could keep close this week?

Burnout is a biggie, but please know you are not alone. πŸ’œ

When you are constantly living in survival mode, getting through each day, getting through the chaos that life brings, the stresses and strains of carrying everything...

there's no wonder your body suddenly screeches to a halt and says:

"STOP!"

But darling, what you need to realise is that burnout is not you failing.

It's not you suddenly not being strong anymore.

It doesn't mean you're behind or that you're letting anyone down.

It's a sign.

Sometimes almost like a big slap in the face telling you:

"This is because you've been strong for too long."

Nobody can run on fumes forever.

This is your body and mind asking you to please pause.

To take a moment.

To put something down.

To allow yourself time to rest, heal and recharge.

You don't have to wait until you physically can't keep going before you're allowed to stop.

And you don't need to fix everything today.

Maybe today you simply listen when your body whispers "enough", rather than waiting until it has to bloody shout it. πŸ’œ

This week we're going to gently explore burnout together, with a crystal companion, a simple grounding practice, some space to reflect and one small step you can take for yourself.

For now, though?

You don't need to do anything.

Just know that if you're feeling this way...

You are not alone. πŸ’œ

I talk a lot about coming back to youself

About slowing down, grounding, noticing the little things and remembering the woman underneath all the roles you carry.

Amd somewhere between Dawlish, Dawlish Warren, Exmouth and Exeter, I realised I spent the week doing exactly that πŸ’œπŸŒž

I put my feet in the sea.
I looked up at the clouds.
I stopped and noticed what was around me.
I explored somewhere new.
I laughed with my family.
I rested and did absolutely bu**er all!
I ate the bloody doughnut.
I soaked up those little moments with the people I love.

And, finally got to the other side of my nose pierced, something I have wanted to do for YEARS but just never bloody did.

None of these things are particularly life - changing.

But maybe that's the point.

Coming back to yourself doesn't alwaya happen through some huge breakthrough.

Sometimes its putting your feet in the sea.

Sometimes it is looking up.

Sometimes it is laughing until your face hurts.

Sometimes it is doing something simply because you want to.

Sometimes it's allowing yourself to be just in the moment you are in.

Those little moments matter too.

Maybe you don't need to find a whole new version of yourself.

Maybe you just need a few little moments to remind you she's still here πŸ’œπŸ’œ

Today's Gentle Step...
CHOOSE ONE THING.

Not the whole list.

Not everything that's waiting.

Choose the one thing that genuinely needs your attention today.

Write it down.

Let that be your focus.

When your mind starts jumping to everything else...

come back to the one.

Gentle Reminder

Making the day smaller isn't giving up.

Sometimes it's exactly how you find somewhere to begin.

Your takeaway from this week?

You don't have to do everything
to have done enough. πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ
