Not just one Birthday today at Springbank House Care Home - Hill Care Chesterfield 🎁🎂🎉🥳 but two
We say a great big Happy Birthday to both Gillian and Graham🤩❤️🎊
They each had their own little celebration with a Birthday cake cards and gifts😍
Can all the resisents and staff wish you both a Happy Birthday and we hope you have enjoyed your day🩷

Jayne our Activity coordinator at Springbank House Care Home - Hill Care Chesterfield will be doing the Alzheimers Memory walk again on 20th September 2026 at Clumber Park 💠
This will be her 4th year of walking and will be doing so in memory of all the residents and families that have to deal and cope with this illness every day 💠
This year other staff members from springbank have also volunteered to walk with Jayne as have some of her family members💠

Today was another of our residents Special Day at Springbank House Care Home - Hill Care Chesterfield 🤩
Dave is a very popular resident and he is always smiling and very kind towards other residents❤️
He is always dressed smartly and is the most energetic physically fit person in the building including staff🤣
Dave loves music and enjoys nothing better than a sing and a dance especially to rock and roll🎶🎤
He loves to see his many family and friends and always is happy to chat to them all😍

He chose a special meal of medium rare cooked steak and chips followed by coffee sponge cake and cream which he really enjoyed🥩🍟🧁
After lunch he spent time with our Activity Coordinator Jayne looking through his scrap book of wonderful cuttings and photographs reflecting his very successful career as a professional footballer when playing for Chesterfield and many other clubs from the 1960s ⚽️🏟🥅
Dave even played for his native country Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Many of our visitors remember David playing for Chesterfield and love hearing about his time there😃
We hope that you enjoyed your Special Day Dave as much as we enjoyed sharing it with you💙

Going out with Residents is a great way to become more involved in the community and today Susan one of our ladies at Springbank House Care Home - Hill Care Chesterfield wanted a stroll out and a coffee with a slice of cake so Jayne our Activity coordinator accompanied her on a walk and short bus ride to the next village 🚌
After a walk they rewarded themselves with a slice of chocolate cake and coffee eaten alfresco as the wind had dropped by the afternoon🧁☕️
Susan is not one for the limelight but did allow Jayne to take a quick snap of her in her lovely sun hat👒
On returning Susan said she felt so much better for getting out in the sun and fresh air 😃

We celebrated not only one special day but two at Springbank House Care Home - Hill Care Chesterfield today🤩
These were National Pic Nic Month and International Beer Day🍻🍺🧺
Although we have been experiencing some brillant summer weather recently 🌞 today was very windy 💨so we decided to hold an indoor picnic instead washed down with some Beer Shandies which were very popular🍺
Thank you to the kitchen staff for preparing the pic nic food and hopefully next time we might be able to have it outside🤞

A very big Thank you to the fantastic vocal Duo Figure it Out who entertained our residents at Springbank House Care Home - Hill Care Chesterfield this afternoon🎶🎤
They had us singing and dancing from their first to last song which the residents loved😍
Phil and Andy give up their free time to entertain us today and we are so grateful to them as it put a big smile on their faces🤩
Please come and see us soon and good luck for your future performance supporting the brillant Ashgate Hospice in chesterfield for their fund raiser🤞
