Life is all about celebrating these milestones 🙌🏼✨🌟

Sophia proudly came into physio this morning showing off her Sports Star of the Week award. Her school had sports day last week and afterwards the whole school voted for Sophia to win the award because of her hard work and determination on the day.

Sophia was born prematurely and has cerebral palsy, but nothing stopped her from joining in and doing her best.

Proud physio tears this morning!! MASSIVE WELL DONE SOPHIA!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our friendly, child-centred team. We work with clients from birth to young adults, supporting children with a wide range of conditions, including neurological and developmental needs.

You’ll deliver physiotherapy both in our fully equipped clinic and out in the community – including homes, schools, and nurseries.

What we’re looking for:
✅ BSc (hons) Degree in Physiotherapy
✅HCPC registration
✅ Minimum 2 years’ paediatric experience
✅ Ideally experience in both neurology and developmental delay
✅ Excellent communication & organisation skills
✅ Full UK driving licence & own car
✅ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
⭐ Desirable: CSP (or alternative governing body) membership, community experience, and additional paediatric training (e.g., Bobath, Hydrotherapy, Rebound Therapy).

So much of our sessions are about teaching and empowering the families we work to do the day to day physio techniques and handling to really make a difference.

Your Responsibilities

Administrative and Booking System Management

Answer enquiries that come in via telephone or email
Contact new families to discuss our services
Log client details online and book appointments.
Manage our booking system: scheduling, rescheduling, and organising appointments
Support the physios and families behind the scenes with any administration jobs


Communication and Social Media

Oversee our social media platforms
Create simple, visually appealing content
Support marketing campaigns and nurture email communications



We’re Looking For Someone Who Is…

Confident communicating with others in a friendly, professional manner
Highly organised and able to work independently
Proactive – always looking for ways to improve systems and solve problems
Caring and compassionate, with an understanding of the sensitive nature of our clinic’s work
Punctual and reliable, with excellent attention to detail

Sheffield Children’s is celebrating its 150-year anniversary this year and the charity its 50-year anniversary. Stories like this remind us just how incredible the hospital and its teams truly are 💙

Last September, Bethany Knowles, her sister Abbie, and their dad Dave took on the Great North Run - not for medals or personal bests, but to say thank you to Sheffield Children’s Paediatric Critical Care Unit.

Their inspiration was Archie, Bethany’s son, who spent much of his early life receiving specialist care at Sheffield Children’s after being born prematurely with complex medical needs. Archie spent seven months on HDU and ICU, where his family were supported not just with expert medical care, but with kindness, compassion, and the small touches that make the hardest days a little easier.

Now thriving and approaching his third birthday, Archie is off machines, full of character, and taking on the world. To give back, the family ran 13 miles together, raising over £1,760 (and counting) to support other families going through similar journeys.
