It might sound ‘cheesy’ but we have had a really ‘grate’ afternoon 🧀 making grilled cheese rolls. I must admit most of the cheese was eaten before it made it into the bread but some managed to make it into the oven 👩‍🍳 everyone got involved and gave it a good try, rolling out the bread, filling it with cheese 🍞 we had lots of engagement and laughs, conversations were flowing, it was a really wonderful afternoon 💜

As part of a Make a Wish we organised for two of our residents to go to a Robin Memories meeting ☕️ , these meetings happen once a month to give fans an opportunity to meet some of the old players and see memorabilia from over the years 🕰️ as you can see these two gents had a wonderful time meeting player David Roger’s, seeing some of the old uniforms and photo’s and to end the trip we had an amazing tour around the grounds and pitch ⚽️ now to finish this Wish we have been given tickets to go see a match in person which these chaps are thrilled about 🥅 we all can’t wait ⚽️ bring on the 29th 👏

We want to say a huge thank you to Lee, Jerry, Neil and Amy at Bristol City Football Club for helping make this wish come true ❤️

Thank you to everyone who managed to make it along to our garden party today 🎉 we managed to raise £285 for our comfort fund, this money goes towards future events, activities and entertainment for our residents 🎵 we had a wonderful afternoon and enjoyed celebrating with you all ☀️

We want to say a massive thank you to Tesco brislington for your wonderful donations which help us raise money for our comfort fund. These donations will be used as prizes for our raffle at our summer garden party Saturday 8th. All money raised during this event goes to our comfort fund which funds all activities, trips out and entertainment for our residents.
We truly appreciate all the help we get from the local community and the support from local businesses 💜

Incredible day here at Stanton court💜… we had a blast from the past with a travel into childhood as we couldn’t travel around the world, we decided to travel back into summers past. Residents enjoyed playing old summer games like Hook a Duck 🦆 and Water Shootout 💦 we had some music from the 60’s playing, everyone got competitive and enjoyed sharing memories 💭 we had a wonderful time in the sun ☀️ and decided to cool down with some ice lollies and ice cream to finish off the day 🍦

Today we enjoyed a gentle morning movement session to get our bodies moving 💃 and then this afternoon we had some fun making fruit kebabs 🍇 using fresh fruit and marshmallows all covered in a chocolate drizzle 🍫 residents enjoyed making their own snack and getting creative with their fruit mix 🍓

🔥 feeling HOT HOT HOT 🔥

Today to try and battle the heat we decided to have ice creams, flavoured fizz and ice lollies 🍦 we had lots of different flavours to try, with some of the classics like mint chocolate chip and raspberry ripple, we also taste tested different flavoured fizzy’s, the winner was Lemon and Lime with extra ice 🍋‍🟩 it was a wonderful way to promote staying cool and encourage fluids 🥤as you can see by the smiles this was a welcome surprise ☀️

The Next Time Around garden is now filled with so many beautiful flowers. The colours are amazing 🌸🏵🌼

This garden is not just a beautiful place to sit, relax or socialise. It has become a place of purpose for the residents on the garden team.
Many of the tasks in the garden such as watering and dead heading are now being done independently.
Today we decided to share these wonderful flowers with the residents who can't get outside into the garden. We picked flowers and brought them in to create a stunning set of flower vases. The pwrfume from the sweet peas could be smelled by visitors coming in through the front door. Well done the gardening team!!
