What a fantastic day at the Emergency Services & Armed Forces Day in Chichester! 🚒🚑🚓

Our team had the pleasure of meeting around 300 members of the local community, sharing 150 pieces of fruit, and carrying out 80 blood pressure checks to help support healthier lifestyles and promote wellbeing.

This event perfectly demonstrates our commitment to Multiplying our Social Impact and Sustainability, bringing health advice, support and meaningful conversations directly to local people.

And of course, a huge shout-out to Nuffy Bear, who stole the show and put smiles on the faces of so many children and young people throughout the day! 🐻❤️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success. Your passion, energy and dedication continue to make a real difference in our communities.

🌞 Stay Cool in the Heatwave – Simple Tips

With temperatures rising, here are a few easy ways to stay safe and comfortable:

💧 Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water (even if you don’t feel thirsty)
🕶️ Keep out of the midday sun – especially between 11am–3pm
🏠 Keep your home cool – close curtains/blinds during the day and open windows at night
👕 Wear light, loose clothing – breathable fabrics help your body stay cool
🧴 Don’t forget sunscreen – protect your skin even on cloudy days
👶 Check on vulnerable people – older adults, young children, and pets need extra care

Let’s all look after ourselves and each other in this heat 🌡️☀️

💚 Men’s Health Week: Let’s Start the Conversation 💚

This week is a powerful reminder of something we don’t talk about enough — men’s health matters.

Too often, men delay seeking help, whether it’s for physical symptoms or mental wellbeing. And the reality is stark:

📊 In the UK, 1 in 5 men die before the age of 65
📊 And men are consistently less likely to seek help for health support

✅ Take time to check in with yourself
✅ Encourage the men in your life to open up
✅ Make space for honest conversations around your health and wellbeing
✅ Prioritise prevention, not just treatment

In healthcare, we see every day how important it is to remove stigma and make support more accessible. It starts with awareness — but it doesn’t stop there.

Let’s use this week as a catalyst to normalise seeking help, sharing struggles, and looking after ourselves and each other.

Because looking after your health isn’t a weakness — it’s a strength.

👉 This week, reach out to at least one man in your life and ask: “How are you, really?”
👉 And if you need support yourself, take that first step — speak to someone.

💚 Patient safety is at the heart of everything we do — every single day.

But one thing we know for sure is this: patients, families and carers often spot when something isn’t quite right before anyone else does.

👀 Maybe someone just doesn’t seem themselves
👀 A small change in breathing, behaviour or energy
👀 Or simply a gut feeling that something isn’t right

Those little changes really do matter.

That’s why we’re continuing to support the principles of Martha’s Rule – Call for Concern.

No hesitation. No barriers. No worrying about “getting it wrong.”

✅ Patients are regularly asked how they’re feeling
✅ Staff can ask for a second opinion whenever needed
✅ Patients, families and carers know exactly how to raise concerns if things change

If something is raised, it will always be taken seriously and looked into quickly.

Because great care isn’t just about clinical expertise — it’s about listening, responding, and working together.

💬 Your voice matters. And it can make a real difference.

If you’re worried, please don’t stay quiet — we want to hear from you.
