Does your knee collapse inwards when you squat, lunge, stand up from a chair, or walk downstairs? 🤔
This inwards collapsing movement can place stress on the kneecap and surrounding
tissues, which can contribute to knee pain.
Try doing this 👇🏼
Try keeping your kneecap lined up with your middle toe during movements involving a bent knee.
This can improve control and reduce unnecessary strain through the knee joint.
✔️Lunges
✔️Squats
✔️Stairs
✔️Sitting to standing
Small movement changes can make a big difference over time.

Do you suffer with tension headaches? 🤕
Tension headaches are the most common type of headache and are often described as:
•A dull, aching pain
•Tightness around the forehead or temples
•Pressure in the back of the neck or shoulders
They’re commonly linked to muscle tension and posture, especially when the muscles in the neck and shoulders become tight or overworked.
Common triggers can include:
💻Long periods at a desk or computer
😣Stress and tension
🧘🏽Poor posture
💤Sleeping awkwardly
💪🏼Tight neck and shoulder muscles
The good news? Physiotherapy can help.
Treatment focuses on:
✅Improving neck mobility
✅Reducing muscle tension
✅Correcting posture
✅Restoring normal movement through the neck and upper back
This can help reduce both the frequency and intensity of headaches while improving overall comfort day-to-day.

💜June is Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) Awareness Month 💜
Did you know there are a number of factors that can increase the risk of developing pelvic organ prolapse?
Some of the most common include:
🤰🏼Pregnancy and childbirth
🏋🏼Repeated heavy lifting
🫂A family history of prolapse
🌸Menopausal changes🚾Ongoing constipation and straining
⏳Age-related changes to muscles an ligaments
🏥Previous pelvic surgery
Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the pelvic floor muscles and supporting tissues become weakened, allowing one or more pelvic organs to move downwards.
While prolapse is common, it is not something you have to simply put up with.
Specialist pelvic health physiotherapy can help you understand your symptoms, improve pelvic floor function, and support you in returning to the activities you enjoy with confidence 💪🏼
💬If you’re experiencing symptoms such as pelvic heaviness, pressure, bladder or bowel changes, or simply have concerns about your pelvic health, we’re here to help.

Think one physio session will fix everything? 🤔
We get it—you want quick relief.
And yes, you might feel some improvement early on…
But real, lasting results don’t come from a single session.
Physiotherapy is a process, not a quick fix.
It’s about:
✔️Understanding the root cause
✔️Following a structured treatment plan
✔️Staying consistent with your exercises
That’s how you get long-term results—not just short-term relief.
If you’re ready to fix the problem (not just manage it), we can help.

💜June is Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) Awareness Month 💜
Did you know that pelvic organ prolapse affects up to 50% of women during their
lifetime?
To help raise awareness for POP we will be posting Pelvic Organ Prolapse content throughout the month of June
Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) occurs when the pelvic floor muscles, ligaments, and tissues become weakened and are no longer able to fully support the pelvic organs, including the bladder, bowel, uterus, and va**na.
As a result, one or more of these organs can move downwards, causing symptoms such as:
• A feeling of heaviness or dragging in the pelvis
• A bulge or pressure in the va**nal area
• Bladder or bowel problems
• Discomfort during daily activities or exercise
Although prolapse is common, it is not something you have to simply live with.
Specialist pelvic health physiotherapy can help manage symptoms, improve pelvic floor function, and support you in returning to the activities you enjoy.
If you’re experiencing any pelvic health concerns, our Pelvic Health & Women’s Health Physiotherapist, Sarah, is here to help.

Back pain doesn’t mean you have to stop moving 💡
In fact, for most people, movement is one of the best things you can do to help recovery.
It’s completely normal to feel worried about bending, twisting, or staying active when your back is painful—but your back is designed to move, and avoiding movement altogether can sometimes make things feel worse.
✅Gentle exercise
✅Walking
✅Stretching
✅Gradually returning to normal activities
…can all help reduce stiffness, improve strength, and build confidence again.
Research shows that people who keep moving during episodes of back pain often recover faster than those who rest for long periods.
Strength and resistance exercises can also play an important role in supporting the spine and helping prevent future flare-ups.
The key is:
👉🏼Start gradually
👉🏼Listen to your body
👉🏼Keep moving consistently
If back pain is stopping you from doing the things you enjoy, we’re here to help.

Did you know that 1 in 3 women experience urinary leakage after childbirth?
While it’s very common, it’s important to know that it’s not something you simply have to “put up with” 🧡
Your pelvic floor muscles play a huge role in:
✔️Preventing leakage when coughing, sneezing, or exercising
✔️Supporting pelvic organs and helping prevent prolapse
✔️Supporting your growing baby during pregnancy
✔️Recovery after va**nal delivery
✔️Core stability, posture, and pressure control
If you’re experiencing urinary leakage, pelvic heaviness, or weakness after having a baby, specialist physiotherapy can help.
You deserve to feel confident, comfortable, and supported in your recovery.
