We've been given something worth more than any award.

The family of a much-loved former resident has gifted The Priory a memorial bench for our garden, engraved with a message of thanks to the team who cared for him. It's a quiet, permanent thank-you, and it means more to us than any certificate on a wall ever could.

Our carers, kitchen and housekeeping teams do the small, patient, often unseen things that turn a house into a home. To have that recognised by a family, at a time like this, is the highest compliment we could be paid.

The bench now sits where he liked to sit. It will be there for residents, families and visitors to pause, catch the sun and take in the garden for many years to come.

Thank you to his family for such a thoughtful gesture. And thank you to our team, every day.

A beautiful afternoon here in Chippenham. Our residents had afternoon tea on the south-facing terrace today — sandwiches, scones, and a lot of laughter from the far end of the garden.
