What an incredible Singing Mamas session we had yesterday at Kington St Michael village hall! I was so excited to welcome some women who are brand new to this awesome movement of singing for wellbeing, some who’d come for the 1st time last time, some who’d been singing with me since I started in January and many in between! We had women from Chippenham, Corsham, Calne, Malmesbury and as far as Cricklade! We sang some slow and pensive songs mixed in with some more upbeat ones. Here’s a little glimpse of one I’d never led before and the women with me had never sung before and it sounds pretty darn good if you ask me!!

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day down on Portland with and .singingmamas.dorset 🥰 2 hours of gorgeous singing at followed by more singing with some swimming at Chesil Beach. Every moment was absolute perfection. Not only do these songs bring me so much happiness, but they also connect me with some truly beautiful humans.

And tomorrow is my 2nd summer session! Song upon song 🧡🧡🧡

Walking the talk, even on holiday!

We went to this week - the 1st time we’ve been away from home since last August and a mega week of fun to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary 🥰 But it definitely took its toll on us all in different ways, and this afternoon I found myself calming my littlest one down by singing this beautiful lullaby for about 20 minutes nonstop. He was desperate to sleep but it took ages for him to drop off, then when I put him in the pushchair he woke up and was even more upset than before. Every mama’s nap time nightmare 🙈 I realised about 10 minutes into singing this gorgeous Norwegian lullaby that Singing Mamas is absolutely part of the fabric of our lives and for that I am so grateful 🧡

Oh what a morning we had in Kington St. Michael 😍 Thank you so much to everyone who came along to the first of my summer sessions. We’ll be back again on 14th August for the next one and I already can’t wait!

If you live in Chippenham, Corsham, Malmesbury, Lyneham, Royal Wootton Bassett or anywhere else nearby you would be so welcome to join us 🧡

I think Singing Mamas is amazing, but I’m pretty biased 😄 So I thought it time to share some of the gorgeous feedback I’ve had from some of my mamas 🥰 I am so grateful for every moment we’ve shared with each other since I started these groups in January and so humbled to have read these kind words. It doesn’t matter where you’re coming from, whether you arrive with joy or a heavy heart, the songs work their magic, the community holds you safe and soul medicine is administered. What an honour to be able to lead these phenomenal women in song, many of whom say they’re not singers!

Mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, friends, nannies, childminders … all women are welcome in our circle. If you’ve been wondering about giving singing for wellbeing a try then you are so warmly welcome to join us. The 1st summer session is this Friday (31st July), and I’m looking forward to seeing people from both my groups come together for the first time, as well as a lovely group of new women too! Use the link in my bio to book for this week or any other when you are available, and remember that if you are 36+ weeks pregnant then you can come along for free - just drop me a message. We’re only meeting at Kington St. Michael near Chippenham during the summer holidays but will be back at Tree Thyme in Charlton near Malmesbury in September 🧡

I got this exciting delivery of Oatly individual cartons today because a cuppa and cake is so integral to the Singing Mamas experience! Whether you’re vegan, breastfeeding a baby with CMPA or just prefer oat milk, I love that you can now guarantee a cup of tea or coffee just the way you like it, without the waste of buying a big carton and it not being used up.

When you sign up to come to a session I’ll send you a registration form, and there’s a dedicated space to find out what would make the it most comfortable for you because it’s not a gimmick - everyone is welcome just as they are.

It’s been a busy old week as always here at Singing Mamas north Wiltshire! On Wednesday we had our last Tree Thyme session until September and I was excited to take some GIANT oatmeal and raisin cookies with me to my last term time session at Kington St Michael on Friday morning! I definitely needed one, too, as my poor little H was beyond tired during our session and spent a lot of time scream crying while I was trying to teach a new song 🙈 Walking the talk as always here! You come as you are to Singing Mamas and everyone has got your back 🧡

I’m so excited for the summer sessions I have coming up on 31/7, 14/8 and 28/8 - 2 new mamas are already signed up AND another new mama has booked a trial for September, too! Such a fab way to go into the holidays! And I’m hoping to gather enough women to come and sing to help me spread the word about our lovely groups on 5th September … watch this space!

If you’re in Wiltshire and you’re heading into the summer holidays with fewer plans than you’d like, we’ve got you 🧡 Between us, with groups in Kington St Michael (Chippenham) and Trowbridge we can offer you a Singing Mamas session for 5 weeks of the summer holidays!

Whether you’re pregnant or have a baby, whether you have no children or too many to count, there is a space for you in our circle. We sing songs for you and bring toys to keep the little ones busy while you sing, and then we have cake and a hot drink together. Regulars or newbies, everyone is welcome - come and sing with us this summer and refill your cup. We can’t wait to see you!

How have we reached the end of term already? I am going to miss seeing every week. So many thanks to Teresa and Michael for welcoming me and my mamas since January - I sort of can’t wait to see autumn arrive and watch the seasons change again! I can’t think of a more perfect location for Singing Mamas to stop and be than this exquisite space, so generously shared.

If you would like to join us at Tree Thyme (just a few minutes outside Malmesbury) this Wednesday morning please drop me a message or follow the link in my bio to book!
