~ HIMALAYAN RETREAT FEBRUARY 2027 ~
There’s a small murti in the studio that most of you have walked past him many times.
He’s called Nilkanth Varni. A child yogi who left home at eleven, walked barefoot across India for seven years, and spent four months meditating in the freezing high passes of Muktinath wearing nothing but a loincloth.
In February 2027, we’re going to stand in front of him again, except there he’s 108 feet tall, cast in gold, at the heart of the largest Hindu temple complex in the world.
We begin in Delhi, staying at Swaminarayan Akshardham itself. Then north into the Kumaon hills, to a working ashram at 5,000 feet. Simple rooms, vegetarian food grown on the farm, daily yoga and meditation with my own teacher in India and local practitioners.
I’ll be honest with you: this isn’t a wellness holiday. No spa, no pool. It’s a chance to learn the philosophy where it came from, and to live it for a little while.
If that’s the kind of thing you’ve been quietly wondering about, comment ‘RETREAT’ and I’ll tell you everything.
