We are incredibly proud to announce that The Langston Nursing Home has been awarded Platinum Status by the Gold Standards Framework (GSF)🏆

Our portfolio, expertly compiled by our dedicated Gold Standards Framework Champions achieved an outstanding **82 out of 82** — an incredible result that reflects the commitment, knowledge and high standards demonstrated by our team.

We are also thrilled to announce that The Langston has been shortlisted for Care Home of the Year!

Today, we had the pleasure of celebrating these fantastic achievements with Paul, one of our Directors, who joined us in recognising the hard work, dedication and commitment of the whole team.

Andrea and Laura are very excited to be attending the awards ceremony in September, where they will proudly collect our Platinum Award. We will also be eagerly awaiting the announcement of the Care Home of the Year winner!

This is a fantastic achievement for The Langston and a true reflection of the hard work, dedication and passion of our entire team. Every member of staff has played a part in helping us reach this milestone, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved together.

🌊🎨 **Under the Sea Adventures!** 🐠🤿

This week, our residents enjoyed getting creative with an under-the-sea collage to celebrate National Scuba Diving Day. Using paint, sand and shells,we brought the ocean to life with sea creatures, coral, and even some familiar faces dressed as scuba divers!

Inspired by the sea and the beach, we also enjoyed making a beautiful seaside sand collage using colourful sand, creating wonderful textures and a vibrant beach scene.

What a wonderful afternoon at our Friends & Family Summer BBQ! ☀️🌭🍔

After an unexpected rainy start, the clouds cleared, the sun came out, and our courtyard was soon filled with the delicious smell of BBQ and the sound of happy chatter.

Everyone tucked into tasty burgers and hot dogs before cooling off with a visit from Mr Frosty and Daughter's ice cream van, serving up everyone's favourite 99s! 🍦

There was plenty of fun to be had with a traditional coconut shy, a lucky dip, and lots of laughter as our Activity Lead, Laura, bravely took a few wet sponges to the face! 💦😄 We were also delighted to welcome Richard and Gilbert the therapy dog, who popped in to say hello and brought plenty of smiles.

We rounded off the afternoon with fantastic entertainment from Tony Puppets, who had everyone singing and laughing along.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a memorable afternoon! ❤️
