Two days of CPD at the Teacher's Workshop, and a day of teaching small groups on the public Summer Workshop with itmalexandertechuk.

What a Workshop! Itis such a privilege to be part of this incredible community of Alexander Technique teachers from across Europe and beyond. We have shared lots of laughter, learning, joy, and professional development, furthering our skills and understanding of the work and sharing with others in small teaching groups throughout the day.

And what a place! Surrounded by the golden Gloucestershire countryside basking in yet more hot summer sun at the Royal Agricultural University
I don't think there is a better place to be an Alexander Technique teacher!

I already can't wait until next August❤️

Time to enjoy a coffee in the garden in one of my favourite mugs is one of life's greatest simple pleasures, whilst waiting for my next student.

Warm sun, cool shade, yummy coffee, gentle breeze.

What's not to love?!!

I should do this more often in this beautiful weather when I'm teaching from my home studio☕️

My students and I had a LOT of fun this morning and they are all doing so well! Their curiosity for this work is always so infectious! They are making fantastic progress with their thinking and this means they are all finding greater freedom in their bodies and greater success in their activities.

Today's students brought a range of activities to their lessons, including knitting, violin playing, driving, and even eating at a table! I love how we get creative in setting up working on these activities (I've not yet tried bringing a car or a restaurant to my teaching space!)

With a healthy dose of laughter they learnt about the mechanics of certain movements and how they could direct themselves more efficiently in the movements they make. The result? Greater ease, flexibility, success, joy, and less pain, stiffness and discomfort.

I can't wait till next time!
