Meet Nova 💙
Nova has been coming to us throughout his rehabilitation journey following a tendon sheath injury and some arthritic changes. Throughout his journey, he’s enjoyed both residential rehabilitation stays and regular walk-in appointments, allowing us to tailor his programme as he progressed.
His rehabilitation has included:
💦 Water treadmill sessions to encourage controlled, low-impact exercise.
⚡ Shockwave therapy to support the healing process.
🐴 A carefully managed rehabilitation programme, adjusted every step of the way.
The difference between these two photos speaks for itself. While the scales show a healthy reduction from 603 kg to 556 kg, what’s even more important is how much stronger, fitter, and more comfortable Nova is looking.
Rehabilitation is never a quick fix. Injuries need time to heal, and rushing the process can do more harm than good. Patience, consistency, and following the right plan is key to giving horses the best chance of a successful recovery ❤️🩹
We’re so proud to be part of Nova’s continuing journey and can’t wait to see what the future holds for him. Well done to his dedicated owner for trusting the process and putting Nova’s long-term health first. 💙
As always, the process has been supported throughout with J Varley Veterinary Chiropractor and Massage Therapist, equinebowen_therapy, Jo Andrew’s Physiotherapist and Oakhill Equine Vets 💪🏼
