I’m all for ambition. I’m all for progression. I’ve built businesses myself, so it would be a bit ridiculous to say otherwise 😂

But I don’t think there’s only one version of it.

Want your own salon? Go for it.
Want to educate? Do it.
Want to build something bigger? Absolutely.

But if you love doing hair, earn well, have great clients and still have a life outside work… I don’t think you need to explain why that’s enough either.

Build the career you actually want. Not the one Instagram tells you to want. 🤍

When I look at myself now compared to two years ago, we’re worlds apart.

I’ve found something I didn’t even know I needed.

Life was good. I’d built a successful career and I genuinely thought I was heading towards winding down.

Then one more opportunity presented itself… and I said yes.

And I’m so glad I did.

If there’s one bit of advice I’d give my younger self, it would be do it sooner.

Follow the dream. Take the risk. Push yourself into that uncomfortable zone and see what happens.

Because sometimes you don’t even know what you’re capable of until you do.

The rewards are so worth it ❤️

And I’m all for hard work. I don’t think you get anywhere without it.

But if you want a work/life balance, that works too.

Don’t think you can’t be ambitious or build something successful unless you’re exhausted doing it.

Success looks different to everyone and so does the life you’re trying to build.

Just a little reminder that you don’t have to be knackered to be doing enough 🤍
