I still remember making that phone call. ❤️
Fourteen years ago, Henry had been through a long labour, a forceps birth, and we were struggling with feeding. Like so many new mums, I just wanted to know I was doing the right thing.
I remember ringing Churchdown Osteopaths to book him in. The receptionist asked, “What’s your baby’s date of birth?” and I had one of those surreal moments where I realised I was actually someone’s mum. It’s funny how those little moments stay with you.
What stayed with me even more was the calm reassurance I felt from the moment we walked through the door. Being cared for by people with so much experience meant the world at a time when everything felt so new and overwhelming.
I never imagined that years later I’d be working there too.
People often ask me where I’d recommend taking their baby, and I never hesitate to recommend Churchdown.
For over 45 years, Clive, Liz and the team have been dedicated to caring for babies and supporting families. Now, with Anna’s experience as a midwife, lactation consultant and tongue-tie practitioner, that support for new parents is even stronger.
I feel incredibly privileged to have had the opportunity to work here for the past five years, learning from such an experienced and dedicated team. My own experience as a new mum helped shape the osteopath I’ve become today, and it’s an honour to now support other families in the same place that once supported mine.
Sometimes life comes full circle in the most unexpected ways. 🤍
