๐Ÿ’™ Diabetes Week ๐Ÿ’™ 8 June - 14 June 2026 ๐Ÿ’™

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting people living with diabetes, we are pleased to share that in recent months we have introduced group consultations as part of our diabetes service.

The feedback from patients has been extremely positive, with many finding the sessions informative, supportive, and empowering.

Group consultations offer a number of benefits, including:
โœ… Learning from the experiences and questions of others
โœ… Increased understanding of diabetes management
โœ… Peer support in a welcoming environment
โœ… More time for discussion and education
โœ… Improved confidence in managing health and wellbeing

We are delighted to see how these sessions are helping patients feel more connected, informed, and supported in their diabetes journey.

Thank you to everyone who has attended and shared their valuable feedback. Together, we can continue to improve diabetes care and support within our community.

Please ask the Healthcare Assistant for more information at your annual review if you would like to attend.

๐Ÿ“ข Important Update on Implant Licenses ๐Ÿ“ข

We would like to inform everyone that the license period for implants has now been extended from the original 3 years to 5 years.

This means that implant licenses will now remain valid for 5 years, providing longer-lasting protection and reducing the need for earlier replacements.

If you already have an implant in place, there's no need to worry. Your implant will continue to provide protection for up to 5 years from the date it was inserted, even if it was originally fitted when the license period was 3 years.
