What a fabulous day we have had to finish our week

🍂autumnal exploratory tray with scented playdough to explore

🛝lots of gross motor skills to practise climbing the stairs to the slide and playing with the little tiles cars

🍪 a biscuit and banana snack with lots of friends

⭐️meeting with local childminders for the children to interact with each other.

Always great to get out and practise our gross motor skills at the park with friends.

⭐️some children showed me how well they could climb the climbing frame showing greta balancing

⭐️negotiating their legs at the top of the slide in order to slide down independently.

⭐️enjoying a picnic lunch together.

An extremely rainy days calls for lots of indoor fun…

🔴Red jelly exploratory tray to find the hidden animals and use fine motor skills using utensils

💡sensory time with the coloured lights creating patterns to spark interest and naming colours.

🎶singing songs as part of literacy day using the singing spoons where it shows pictures and names the songs allowing for choice

📚time spent reading books to reinforce literacy day (although we read books daily) practising turning pages, learning new words and answering questions.

Well we have been super busy today!

We welcomed a little friend back from the summer holidays and he was so excited to explore and see his friends.

We welcomed a new friend today who was extremely happy and confident all day so a super well done!

When you have a plan to go visit your friends but there is traffic and you can’t get through … we visit the park!

The children had a great time exploring. What seems like a simple park visit is extremely beneficial to physical development.

The children practised and developed their crawling, pulling up, core strength, climbing and negotiating their body.

A great first day back and welcome everyone to the Autumn Term

I have introduced a weekly colour focus and a monthly shape focus for this term so we shall be looking at blue and circle 🔵

We have had some activities to represent the focus of blue and the shape circle

🔵today the children enjoyed using circle containers to stamp the colour blue onto paper

🔵we looked for circle shapes on our farm adventure

🔵we problem solved taking on and off circular shapes onto our holder

I am now closed to enjoy some time with my family I shall see you all for fun and adventures on Tuesday 1st September.

This morning we had some outside fun as much as we could in the shade including water play and a game of hide and seek
